emenius Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Not surprising....but explains lack of airplay.... http://www.nme.com/news/noel-gallagher/72915
Guest Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The irony of him saying Green Day aren't good enough and then licking Noel Gallagher's arse is just painful.
Guest Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 'simply wasn't good enough' mY ARSE YOU ABSOLUTELY BASTARDS omfg the raaaaaaaage i am feelin right now
Comrade Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 To be fair the High Flying Birds album was better than any of the trilogy albums individually. It's right though, the Trilogy yielded no radio hits and Radio One don't have the airtime for sub-par material when there is so much homegrown talent around at the moment.
Guest Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I have no problem with him saying the Trilogy isn't good enough (because it isn't) but then to say Noel Gallagher's recent stuff is... Yeah. No.
Duhhan1023 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Compared to Dookie/AI/21st Century Breakdown ( which are my favourite green day albums and had the most airplay) no the Trilogy wasn't good enough as those three.
Guest Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Those people are only saying shit. Are they related to you, by any chance?
Idlewild. Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I have no problem with him saying the Trilogy isn't good enough (because it isn't) but then to say Noel Gallagher's recent stuff is... Yeah. No. My thoughts exactly.
JOE THE X-KID Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I'm sorry but has anyone actually heard the shit that gets played on the radio. I'm glad Green Day don't get played if that's the attitude towards them. They Don't need to be part of that.
Spike Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Why would we want Green Day on radio 1 anyway? And why would the typical radio 1 listener want Green Day on there? They're not fucking Justin Bieber. Or N Dubz. "Not good enough" is utter bollocks, radio 2 has always been by far and away the superior station. I'd be offended if Green Day WERE on radio 1... And with song titles like Fuck Time, was radio airplay seriously expected?
halfempty Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 More than half the shit they play on the radio is exactly that, shit! So even if they do consider the Trilogy awful they might as well play it anyway. But come in, something off the Trilogy or another whirl of Katy Perry's Roar?
Dirty Rotten Bastard Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The irony of him saying Green Day aren't good enough and then licking Noel Gallagher's arse is just painful. this is one of the best things you've ever said and you've said a lot of good things in your time
Beezey Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Right now Radio is really shocking all that tuneless dance and urban "Dubstep" etc - Green Day have no change against Mily Cryus UberWhore rebranding and of course her butt and all those Dubstep groups and that Deep House stuff. Thats why I like to listen to Kerrang. And there some tracks on the Trilogy that are catchy enough to be played. Mily Cyrus's butt got in the way again.

Beezey Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 excuse u Was talking about the real one. Licking sledge hammers in a manner it going to selll more records, half naked swing on a mental ball is going to be more appealling these days instead of Angry Horny Dube Music. Mileys Butt need its own instagram I think - since if has more talent than her. I suppose turning into an uberwhore to shake of the Disney Tag is essential to function. Yes, Billie Joe Armstrong was an Angry Horny Dude who is "not good enough" for radio.

I hope one day my Butt makes me rich. Easy Money. Here is my Butt cheeks.....I am sure she has to try and get away from that Sugary Disney so....I wish I could use my butt for attention. Cos Mileys Butt is way more exciting than a Green Day album and Noels ego is way more impressive.
Sarcasm Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 It's not "not good enough", I guess, it's not mainstream enough. Green Day rarely follows trends music wise, they make their own way in the business. If blockheads want to get influenced by the sewage Radio1 spews, they can all stay there for all I care. The only real rock music played on radio now a days on the big stations, is old Green Day and the cool, but ever so radio friendly, Foo Fighters.
jumpsalty Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Only radio friendly stuff gets played on the radio, and most radio friendly stuff is awful, annoying rubbish, so it doesn't bother me if they don't want to play it. There's only a couple trilogy songs that would work on the radio anyway
Beezey Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 What is the point in comparing current pop music to the trilogy? It's a completely different game. Green Day aren't any better for making rock music and they aren't any worse - and they've sure done some shitty things on camera in the past, too. Things that are actually pretty damn cruel (hello Steve Jobs cancer comment). At the end of the day, they're all genuine musicians trying to be successful, so we can't really argue when pop radios would rather play music created by pop artists over three albums that weren't even designed to appeal to that crowd. BBC Radio usually like to play different genres of music especially in the Live Lounge Programme. BBC radio also had a show direct from Reading/Leeds festival. So why shouldnt they play Green Day songs - but it IS probably they trying to in some of their shows playing what is popular and in trend at the time.

Beezey Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Green day should do an "In Utero" for their next album just because... Wasnt Innsomiac branded by Yet Another Journalist as "Green Days' In Utero" - suppose it is kind of hard to write after American Idiot and 21C BD and not have some people disappointed etc. during the writing and recording to avoid anything that clouds the mind and think and behave in a way a person would never do while not on them. if Maybe its a second coming of the dreaded IN Utero desease again.....
