Fuzz Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Our editor, Jack, listed his top 5 "most important" Green Day surprise shows. Shows that were noteworthy for some reason or another in Green Day's career or to us fans. He's included a paragraph about each show along with some photos and videos from each one. Check it out on GDA http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/4528/
MaraGreenDay Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I bet all of them were really awesome, i would loved to be at The Independent, that one sounds it was amazing i would love to go to a surprise show
Anja Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 This was very interesting to read and very well written! It makes me proud and lucky to know that I've been to one of these. "Magic" is really what describes such a show. Well, any GD show actually.
WhiteTim Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Great article but in the tiki bar the trilogy was anounced 2012 not 2013 lol
Certified Nimrod Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Where it says click to watch Viva La Gloria, the video is actually Stray Heart. Where it says click to watch Stray Heart, the video is actually Only of You.
She is Amanda Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I will never forget how badly I wanted to go to the tiki bar, it was so close to where I live. It was 21+ . Being underage sucks omg.
Jack Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Great article but in the tiki bar the trilogy was anounced 2012 not 2013 lol Haha, oops...fixed that. My bad! That was a good read. Thanks, man!
WhiteTim Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Haha, oops...fixed that. My bad! Thanks, man! Great article besides that
Jack Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Great article besides that Thanks a lot, man. We hope to do more things like that in the coming months. I was technically brought on the team for editorials (and help with news), so I definitely enjoy doing them.
fatherotti Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Love it! Nice job! I definitely agree with all those choices especially #1. The Gilman appearance was also important in the sense that being just a couple days after the tragic events of 9/11, everyone was really scared and not wanting to think about it. Then at the end of She, it was like Billie and Mike were saying that everything would be ok after all, live life to the fullest and respect each other across the board. It was like Green Day came out and made it all better for a moment.
WorryRock02 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Good article. I had been to only one secret show. 22 May, 2013, Milan , Italy. I was there to see my lovely Prima Donna show and than ad first Tré appeared. Than few minutes later Billie with Mike, and jason and Jeff. SO CRAZY!!! They watched the show and spent some time with the fans...so sweeeeeeeet!!!. And then surprise: green day on stage!!! AMAZING show!! and i still can't believe i was there <3
Ritz Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Great read. Really interesting to see the secret shows through the years,
Jaymee!! Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Really good article! I personally love what was said about the Gilman show. I wasn't aware of it until after reading, and it just kind of makes their whole journey through music come full circle, allowing the band to only go onward and upward. Pleasant read
