desertrose Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Great story!! "They sat on Stuarts porch, Billie Joe playing acoustic guitar,” Sanderson says. “I think they completed a couple songs from their second album Kerplunk there.” http://www.thewareaglereader.com/2011/03/the-time-green-day-played-a-house-show-in-auburn/#.UioKu3-0RIs The picture was taken – no one really knows by who – on August 21, 1991 at 202 Samford Ave., a house over 100 years old.
Guest Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 This show would go on to be inspiration for "Stuart & The Super Cool House Party", an unreleased b-side from Insomniac.
Silent Duck Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 This needs to be the tour poster for all their tours from now on. It's incredible. If the show isn't sold out, instead of the pink bunny they decapitate the sheep.

Penguin Puffball Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Is that really Mike with the longass black hair?
whatshername0303 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Is that really Mike with the longass black hair? I think that he's Mike. He looks like him.
dangreenday Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Just picture this exact show IN YOUR FRONT ROOM
Iva Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Just picture this exact show IN YOUR FRONT ROOM I can imagine my dog ruining it, as she normally growls at Green Day videos for no apparent reason. She'd smell all their dogs and then explode from jealousy, pee in Tré's bass drum or something.
BradGreenDay Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Just picture this exact show IN YOUR FRONT ROOM Yes.... OMG MY DREAM SHOW
UnoDosTreCuatro Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Haha that explains Stuart And The Ave.
dirnt286 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Haha that explains Stuart And The Ave. Stuart (St) & (Telegraph) Avenue are actually two intersecting streets in Berkeley. Though there could some how be a coincidence in matching names...

Though there could some how be a coincidence in matching names... Yeah I don't know it may be a coincidence, but I just thought that was kinda interesting.

That's a cool fact, where did you find it out? is there an official list on unreleased green day songs somewhere? I love knowing about rare songs but this one has passed me by!
sara_gd Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 This reminds me that the other day I went to a bar where Green Day played in 1992, in my city, and I asked the guy to tell me something interesting about when they were there. He told me that they ate pizza on the stairs so I fangirled and sat there saying "Green Day were here". It was great

sara_gd Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 what location and what date was the show ? It was in Vigo, Spain. In 1993, not 92, sorry. I'm seeing on GDA that they were in Barcelona and Zaragoza on April 22nd and May 1st, so it must have been around that time. I know the whole tour (in Spain I suppose) was organized by a guy from Santiago de Compostela, and that in that show there were less than 50 people. I get bits of information from people now and then haha.
