Otis Big Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 DOes anyone have any idea what that few second clip of a song in the beginning of East Jesus Nowhere is? It sounds like Green Day. Like they recorded a small part of a song just to put it in the into. If I could ask Billie Joe a couple questions, that would definitely be one of them.
Firecracker Lell Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 We have a thread for asking these kind of questions, check it out. http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/90051-green-day-qa-thread/
Guest Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 You mean the couple of piano chords that are just audible? I always thought it sounded like part of the outro to 21st CB. But maybe that's just me.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I believe it's "last" from NGFL. From what I remember, having this conversation in 2009. even though I think it sounds more like the end of the word paradise. Oh well.
Neutral Milk Hotel Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 What about what sounds like the Drama Queen piano solo also in the intro? I thought I read something about DQ originally supposed to be on this album... so is it that?

inthehallwaynow Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 There are just some things you'd never guess. haha no i thought that was a bit harsh.. it could have been a non green day song if they are only using a clip of it..
musso_kn Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 haha no i thought that was a bit harsh.. it could have been a non green day song if they are only using a clip of it.. It's a harsh world... I know, it's just he phrased it kind of funny... Sorry, I'll stop being a bitch now.

American_edot Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 It's 'don't test me' backwards I think or so I heard
green day is Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 It's 'don't test me' backwards I think or so I heard Not that part. We discussed this extensively in the "Stuff Hidden In Green Day Songs" thread. Use the search function to find it and some other neat things.
Thebaronator Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 It's a bit from the piano of Restless Heart Syndrome
green day is Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 It's a bit from the piano of Restless Heart Syndrome No it isn't.
Guest Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 It's a bit from the piano of Restless Heart Syndrome Yeah, that chord progression doesn't exist anywhere in that song. But it does in 21stCB...
green day is Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Yeah, that chord progression doesn't exist anywhere in that song. But it does in 21stCB... >chord progression It's the very very end of one chord and the beginning of another. I'd hardly call that a full progression. It does sound a little like 21CBD, but faster. Maybe See The Light originally had piano or something. I don't know why it's assumed it came from a song we've heard.

Well I didn't know what else to call it After many years of listening to that album, I'm fairly sure it's from 21stCB. But then it could be just some random thing that they threw in. Ultimately, who really cares?
Certified Nimrod Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Well I didn't know what else to call it After many years of listening to that album, I'm fairly sure it's from 21stCB. But then it could be just some random thing that they threw in. Ultimately, who really cares? I care, Miley.
green day is Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Well I didn't know what else to call it After many years of listening to that album, I'm fairly sure it's from 21stCB. But then it could be just some random thing that they threw in. Ultimately, who really cares? I care too. I think the strongest contender is 21CBD/See The Light, but I seriously doubt it's the version we actually heard on the album. Mainly because I'm almost positive the EJN clip isn't even played on the same type of piano. Plus there's the fact that two chords don't make a song.
