Green Day concert at Dreamforce conference

I went to 2 Pearl Jam concerts and hated both of them because they only played like 1 or 2 of their real hits. I didn't give a fuck about anything else they played.

And I don't know how you can say it is boring to them. They play those songs because they love them. Every time they play Basketcase they have the energy like they are debuting it for the first time. That's one of the things I love most about them.

a band is not made of only hits...

and i never said that they don't like the songs, of couse they love all they've written over the years and they will play their hearts out every show... but what's the point to put out new songs and never play'em live...

GD easily could have a set with 30 songs where 20 or 22 could be great hits and 8 or 10 some surprises.. and it doesn't need to be some obscure b-side from a japanese version of some album, but one of those great songs that once were singles and has been forgotten

They didn't play Even Flow at either show...what the fuck? That's like the one song that EVERYBODY knows.

There's that one about being alive. I think that's the only other hit they had.

It was a serious question. I've only ever heard 2 of their songs being played on the radio, Alive and Even Flow.

They get a lot more than that out here in the US. There are actually quite a few Pearl Jam hits. That's why I hate going to their concerts. There are major hits of theirs that I've never seen live. That's just wrong.

I'll have to listen to those, because I do like what I've heard of them.

So will this be recorded for TV or something? I remember someone mentioned there were usually videos from these events.

Jeremy is the best of the singles I know...but I really only remember Ten because I had/have it somewhere...

Do The Evolution is my favourite song of Pearl Jam.

Green Day Loves Children's
Green Day's performance at the Dreamforce Gala Concert for Kids on November 19 will benefit Children's Hospital Oakland.
For more than a decade, East Bay rock icons Green Day have made supporting Children's Hospital Oakland a priority. From benefit concerts to online auctions to bringing CHO kids on stage, Green Day has been an amazingly dedicated partner to Children’s Hospital. At the band's request, their headlining performance at the 4th Annual Dreamforce Gala Concert for Kids on November 19 at AT&T Park will benefit their beloved hometown hospital. The concert will also raise funds for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
As parents raising kids here in the Bay Area, the band's members understand firsthand the importance of having a world-class children’s hospital located right here in Oakland. Despite international stardom and a packed performance schedule, Green Day is never too busy to help out sick kids. Most recently, the band's talented trio collaborated with Berkeley's own skateboard legend Jim Thiebaud to sell custom board decks styled after Green Day’s album art, and generously donated a percentage of the sales to Children’s Hospital. Green Day's commitment to Children’s is permanently on display in the lobby of the hospital’s Outpatient Center, where a signed guitar and drum head proudly adorn the walls.
Organized by San Francisco based cloud-computing company, Salesforce, the Dreamforce Gala is anticipated to draw 30,000 attendees, promising to be a home run for Children’s Hospital Oakland! Sponsors will have prominent branding, a special entrance, exclusive seating, a club level cocktail reception and access to the company's legendary After Party with MC Hammer and special guests. This will be an unforgettable VIP experience with top salesforce.com executives and customers in attendance. For more information, visit: The Concert for Kids

Please take the Pearl Jam conversation to their own thread and not in here where it is irrelevant. Thanks.
