I-Like-Pop-Tarts Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Just a heads up, Radio Times TV Listings have confirmed that BBC3 will be showing the Green Day set from Reading Festival. The show is listed as 9-11.30 which is pretty much the time they will be on stage, so I'm certain we will get a WHOLE LIVE set. BBC3 is a digital channel so will usually keep broadcasting until the set has finished (including encores), and their presenters aren't annoying and cut into songs, they are just there to introduce and wrap up. http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/cmy2vd/reading-2013--green-day--reading I'm going to have my video recorder set, as I shall be there!
stuart_and_the_ave Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Awesome, going to get my brother to record this as I'll be there
Guest Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I'm pretty sure that they repeat sets a lot after the festival is finished, since BBC 3 is a bit limited when it comes to programming. So even if you miss it they'll probably reshow it.
NaughtyHellGod Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 for some reason I was expecting the bbc to not show green day.
Give_Me_Novacaine90 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 but, who isn't in UK where can watch it?
ThranaM Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 IF SOMEONE DOSEN'T RECORD THIS I'M GONNA QUIT LIFE YA'LL
Guest Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 but, who isn't in UK where can watch it? I'm in Ireland and I can watch it. I think it just depends on what satellite you use. They'll probably have a livestream on the internet anyway. IF SOMEONE DOSEN'T RECORD THIS I'M GONNA QUIT LIFE YA'LL Reading sets are ALWAYS up on Dimeadozen pretty sharpish. Wouldn't worry too much about it.

That is the only channel I have that show festivals. At least they showd Glastonbury there
Guest Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Dimeadozen? A torrent site that shares stuff like this. Deals mainly in HD and FLAC formats.
ThranaM Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Can we watch the show on that site? http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/cmy2vd/reading-2013--green-day--reading

Being realistic, the program will include Green Day, it will not be all Green Day. Normally BBC3 shows about 1hr of the headline act at Reading, but as it is BBC that hour has no ad content.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't broadcast the full set, only for the full thing to surface on Youtube a few days later. Seems normal practice.

I-Like-Pop-Tarts Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 I'm staying positive it will be the whole set, as the 8-9 show before is bastille and frank turner, which must be a highlights show as they are actually playing earlier than that. BBC3 showed full sets of the headliners at One Big Weekend and Glastonbury (where they were allowed - rolling stones!). I'm sure if they were planning on showing highlights of other bands they would write it in the blurb like the 8pm show. We will see tomorrow when they update the saturday listings what they are showing for eminem, as i'm sure he won't allow a full set, if any, to be broadcast.

They'll be showing Em's full set they want to make as much money as they can for as much as Em charges to perform
