I think that the plot of the video was to show how far sombody would go to save someone who they love. The protagonist was willing to murder his supposed father, plentiful of strangers, and then sacrifice himself, so that his wife could "live".

But yeah the video is okay from an objective amateur filmmaking standpoint, but I didn't really like it. The special effects were pretty good though, the wound that girl had on her neck looked pretty realistic.

I don't like the video at all. Zero originality. "Oh, what's in fashion now? The Walking Dead? Oh, great, let's do a zombies video". If Green Day wasn't criticized enough for being "mainstream" and sellouts, let's relate the band to the average zombies show that is in fashion now.

Besides, I find the meaning of The Forgotten to be really deep and far more intimate and personal than "just" what they showed. It is emotional enough without getting it into an "apocalyptic context".

Despite not being into zombie shit, like, at all I REALLY liked this video, to the point of actually being kind of moved by it. It's really well-made and decently acted for what it is. My only gripe is the totally trite, stupid ending. Would've been better as a straight tragedy. Pathos, man.

I really enjoyed this video. Well done and really emotional. Easily as good as most music videos from Green Day. At first I was distracted by it being a zombie story, but by the end I was very moved. Fantastic addition to this groups videos. A lot of bias in this thread though.
