naliuj Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 First off. I have no idea if theres gonna be a new live album after the 99 Revolutions tour. As far as i can tell no ones said anything about one coming out. Second, i couldnt find another topic on the forum about this so mods can delete this or whatever you guys do. Now that i've got that out of the way, what are your thoughts on Green Day releasing another live album? What songs do you want to hear from the album? I thought that Awesome as Fuck had too many of the old songs and didnt focus enough on the songs from 21st Century Breakdown. Personally, i'd like it if the album was mainly trilogy-based with some songs from albums they havent played much of on the previous live albums such as Insomniac or Warning. For Insomniac they've played Brain Stew on Bullet in a Bible, and Geek Stink Breath on Awesome as Fuck. I'd like to hear Armatage Shanks, Bab's Uvula Who?, or Stuart and the Ave live. As for Warning, i'd like the hear Castaway or Fashion Victim. Again, i would like it if the majority of the album was from the trilogy. The songs i'd like to hear are, Nuclear Family, Rusty James, Carpe Diem, Troublemaker, 99 Revolutions (well obviously that would be on it if it is the 99 revolutions tour), Stray Heart, DRB, X-Kid, and Brutal Love. Ok, enough talk on the songs to go on the album. As for a name i wouldnt be surprised if it were called ¡Cinquo! because of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! and ¡Cuatro! although, i hope they come up with a more creative name. As for when i think the album will be released, Awesome as Fuck came out 2 years after 21st Century Breakdown came out and Bullet in a Bible came out a year after American Idiot. Obviously we cant expect the album until the tour is over. So if i had to guess, i would say 2015 or 2016. This has been longer than i have expected. What do you guys think for songs, a release date, and a name on a new live album? Again, as of now this is just saying what if they released a new live album. There is still no confermation. I just made this topic to see what you guys would like to see from it if it were to happen. Also sorry about potential typeos, i'm on an ipad and its not the easiest to type and proofread on here.
DannyDirnt Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 There can't be a really trilogy-based live album because there are way too few trilogy songs being played. Like 8? I guess we'll have to wait, because the tour's most probably not over yet. A 4-month tour isn't very usual, is it?

Guest Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Okay, you beat me They also played a few more in the Echoplex that they could include. I left those out because they're not regular tunes but you could easily add Wild One, Kill The DJ, Lady Cobra and Fuck Time then.
DannyDirnt Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I left those out because they're not regular tunes but you could easily add Wild One, Kill The DJ, Lady Cobra and Fuck Time then. Rusty James isn't regular then. And I'm not sure if you could consider Missing You a regular either.
Guest Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Rusty James isn't regular then. And I'm not sure if you could consider Missing You a regular either. I think they've played both twice.
DannyDirnt Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I think they've played both twice. They've played Lady Cobra more than twice then. Because they played it at the Shepherd's Bush Empire and Tokyo at least.
Guest Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 They've played Lady Cobra more than twice then. Because they played it at the Shepherd's Bush Empire and Tokyo at least. Yeah but not on the 99 Revs tour.
ThranaM Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 They've played Lady Cobra more than twice then. Because they played it at the Shepherd's Bush Empire and Tokyo at least. Those wasn't a part of the 99 Rev tour
Tubbie Head Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 There better be a live album, since they don't allow their shows to be streamed! I hope that they'll record it during the second leg of the tour (if there is one) so that more trilogy songs can be featured (if they start playing them). In fact I would love a DVD with trilogy songs only... plus King for a Day Or Dookie in it's entirety!
DannyDirnt Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Okay, okay, I'll shut up We have enough songs. But I want Lady Cobra and Kill the DJ in this
Tubbie Head Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Ok, they can put everything they want in it, as long as Dirty Rotten Bastards is there.
Liam Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 We actually already have a thread where you can continue the conversation http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/93798-green-day-live-albumblu-ray/
