BCap Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Any idea how to meet the band before/after a U.S. show? When they come to DC or Maryland (which I'm sure they will), I'd really like to be able to just tell them how much their music really means to me - it's prevented me from going insane, and from killing myself (literally). I went through some really dark times, and I really credit Green Day with getting me through them. Is there any way to meet them without looking like an asshole? Oh, and you can just reroute this or whatever if there's already a topic about this.

Also, didn't the Virginia show this tour count for a DC show? (idk Billie kept screaming "DC!!!!!!" like half the time so )
♡♡♡ Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 It's not only luck, sometimes there're vip tickets too, although I'm not sure if you can buy them but I know a girl that won them by some contest and she actually met the band, that was for the American Idiot tour.

Robin105 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 The best way to meet them is probably after a show. Sometimes if they feel like it one may come out and sign or just say hi to fans. The whole band most likely won't come out but you may get lucky and get a chance to meet at least one of them. Like after the NYC show only Tre came out and signed. I always tell people think positive and never give up. That's how I was able to meet them. I kept saying some day I will meet Billie and I will get a picture with him. It may take a few years but eventually it will happen and as you can see from my avatar it did happen. The same went with Mike and Tre. Even though I don't have Mikes autograph I did get to see him for a few minutes and say hi to him and Tre I have an autograph from because I got lucky after the show. Keep thinking positive

Elisa Tempella Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Yeah... I probably think that in the entire process (or how you like to call it) there is a REALLY BIG part of luck. For example; when they came in Rome they arrived a day before the show aaand... a lot of fans waited in front of the Hotel but, as I know, they didn't do anything. No "Hi" or photos. I was a bit disappointed... by the way, I will always keep the hope. One day I'll get a private investigator and give him the job to find their houses ahahahahah PS: sorry for any mistakes. Y'know, Italians sucks at english...
