Hermione Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 MC Angel Haze has shared a b-side from her upcoming album called 'Initiation' that name-drops Green Day. It contains the line "If you on that Boulevard of Broken Dreams then I got that Green Day." Read more and listen to the song here (the line is at around 1:45) Thanks to Tanya (GDM on the forum) for telling me about this! I like the song and thought the reference was pretty cool so thought I'd post it here. What do you think of it?
Red Lights Flash Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I think I got a despression just by listening to that song.
Comrade Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Ooo this is a nice mellow track, I like it. This is prime chill out dub this is.
amdr182 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I didn't like the song, but I liked the reference she made.
Todd Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 That doesn't even make sense... And the grammar is shit
Guest Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 That doesn't even make sense... And the grammar is shit What part of "rapper" didn't you understand?
beejeezee Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Nice reference, good to hear Green Day spreading around like that.
The Grohl Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Rappers come up with the most absurd lines just to name drop bands or celebrities.

Malleus Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Not a big fan of her. The line itself is silly as fuck, but I guess it's cool she called out Green Day.
Flyingdonutz Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Music is like candy. It's better without rappers. Totally not opinionated and completely original.
Akshat Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I'm glad the lyrics to this song are not 'nigga nigga yo ma nigga wassup green day ma nigga yolo"
Guest Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I'm glad the lyrics to this song are not 'nigga nigga yo ma nigga wassup green day ma nigga yolo" Frankly, that's an improvement.
Middlenameisdang3r Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Basically if your feeling down and alone she got some good "green" (weed) for ya!
Misterglasshalfempty Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Stand back people, culture in the making!
Hermione Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 Rappers come up with the most absurd lines just to name drop bands or celebrities.I don't think that's her aim, she's got some pretty interesting and intelligent lyrics. More like coming up with absurd lines for a bit of interesting word play I think. I'm glad the lyrics to this song are not 'nigga nigga yo ma nigga wassup green day ma nigga yolo"Yeah, all other rap songs are like that
WhiteTim Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Yes another song for yall to shit on another genre... I'm convinced that those who shit on hip hop/rap have only listened to what's on radio and nothing else...

Kitty Purry Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I'm not angel haze biggest fan but it was alright. I'm not surprised to see some of you guys are already showing how terrible and bordeline racists you can be. not surprised since 90% of gd fanbase is white and only listen to ''real'' music.

Public Enemy, Run-D.M.C. , N.W.A, Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill, 2Pac, Eric B. & Rakim isn't "real" music. Only rock is "real" music.Yeah, some people really believe this.
Iain Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I'm really beginning to get pissed off with the forum and its general lack of musical diversity and ignorance from some of its users. If you've just come here to slam a simple name drop by an artist from a genre you clearly don't like yet have lack of knowledge of the genre thereof, then shut the fuck up and do something better with your time. I'm not surprised to see some of you guys are already showing how terrible and bordeline racists you can be. Only one person showed potential racism throughout the entire thread. That doesn't count as some.
