Minor Green Day appearances/references is different forms of media?

When we are watching TV or watching a movie or reading a book, sometimes they reference things we enjoy.
When we see Green Day performing on TV, it's awesome to watch, but I feel that the extremely small and subtle references are the most enjoyable.
I feel like small references and jokes without it being a main topic to be interesting. So when something small and basically irrelevant to the main idea of the source of media is being referred to, it that much more special. A minor detail, hidden to set a bigger and better mood or feeling.
An example I have is not really funny as it is weird. We've probably all seen it and it probably at one point been a heavily discussed topic:
The episode of "NBC Dateline: To Catch a Predator" and the Perverted Justice decoy's screen-name is "greendaychickk"
I read the disturbing transcripts of the original messages and she mentions them being "hot."
Any more hidden Green Day references in the media?
