The Governator Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 So, as most of us know, Green Day just played their 1994 album "Dookie" front to back in concert. If you were to choose an album for them to play front to back, what would yours be? Make sure to explain why you choose this album. Mine would be Shenanigans because I would do anything to hear Desensitized live. Also, I think Ha Ha You're Dead would make a great concert closer.
Backyard Skulls Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 All of the albums. Realistically I'd love to hear insomniac
lbsf1 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Hmmn, for me probably either 1039 or kerplunk, I like that teen angst kinda stuff.
~ Walking Contradiction Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Insomniac or Kerplunk. Insomniac is my favourite album after AI, but they usually play only Brain Stew
musso_kn Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 How about they play all of them, chronologically, front to back, non stop until the final note of The Forgotten has completely faded out? We'll need a lot of Red Bull, a nice empty space, and someone with the expertise to kidnap the band and/or millions of dollars.
The Grohl Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I think I would go with Insomniac. Then American Idiot, but definitely the former first. There are so many songs there I would love to hear live.
JardyOfSuburbia Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Tough call, but I think I would go with Tre just because there is so much from that album that we haven't heard live yet. Really any of the trilogy albums would be nice, but I really would like to hear Missing You, 8th Avenue Serenade, Amanda, Walk Away and Dirty Rotten Bastards. That might be the only way we get DRB played is if Tre gets played in its entirety.
whatshername0303 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I would choose American Idiot because I really like the story of this album. It would be great to see and hear that live like Storytellers on YouTube!
ThibautDookie Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Insomniac for No Pride, Westbound Sign, Bab's Uvula's Who ?
Amanda Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 There's a pretty recent version of this thread here, with a poll attached as well.
Idiotic Tendency... Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 21st Century Breakdown. Love that album, it's fantastic and the songs that were played live were played with so much energy that i was out of breath from jumping and singing the words during their 2010 concert in Manchester.
The Governator Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 21st Century Breakdown. Love that album, it's fantastic and the songs that were played live were played with so much energy that i was out of breath from jumping and singing the words during their 2010 concert in Manchester. Yeah, that was a great tour. It's too bad that we won't be hearing most of those songs played live ever again. I'm gonna miss songs like, "Before the Lombotomy" "Static Age" "Mass Hysteria/Modern World" and "East Jesus Nowhere". Those were all great songs.
ghesboro Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 May be a cliché, but I would choose American Idiot. Also, is BIAB an option?
scatteredminority Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Nimrod, because it's my favourite album. It has 18 songs, so the setlist would be long. I would love listening to The Grouch, Redundant, Scattered (one of my favourite songs), Worry Rock, and Prosthetic Head live. Last Ride In live would be weird but awesome. And this Nimrod just so he has to sing Take Back.
