OwenR Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Green day have been labeled by certain people as "not a punk band" even in the early days. And for signing with a major label. BUT the thing that differs this thread from the others like it is to talk about the comparisons. At some point, The Clash, The Ramones, AND The Sex Pistols were all on major labels. And some of the clash's stuff sounds less punk than green day's! So why do people consider the Clash punk and not green day?
