Zebahar Posted July 13 Posted July 13 I know the boys are getting a little older and at this point, their shows will mainly just be the hits (which could easily fill a standard setlist), but I would love to see a few changes to their "normal setlist": Take out St. Jimmy and replace it with a song like Bang Bang or Stay the Night. I was positive Bang Bang would be a staple after Rev Rad came out, but even if that one isn't picked, I think one of the more "popular" trilogy songs could easily take its place. St. Jimmy is fun and all, but I always thought it fit better as a whole with the album rather than just being put in the setlist This will be unpopular, but I have never been a fan of Hitchin a Ride in the setlist. It is one of those songs that gets prolonged by like 3-4 minutes with crowd participation. I would replace that one with one of their audibles that they have been doing recently. I would love for them to bring back the acoustic encore, where a few songs were played, even if they were just a few verses of each. I think back to the 21st century breakdown tour where they did Words I Might Have Ate + Novacaine + Good Riddance (here). Obviously I know that they are in their festival round of the tour, and those will always be catered to more casual fans and have just the hits, but I think there are some gems that get no love, even if they did well commercially (i.e. Bang Bang, Still Breathing, Oh Love, etc.). 1 Quote

billy1986 Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Unpopular opinion but as mentioned above take St. Jimmy out and Hitching a Ride out. They could squeeze 3 songs with that alone. Switch JOS with 21st Century Breakdown ever other night. More Insomniac 1 Quote

They play that one too much IMO and it takes up 10 minutes of the show. Definitely could be switched 1 Quote

I have been wanting to post on this thread, but I always stop mid-setlist because I am intimidated by how long it will take me to make a 30-song setlist, lol. I so agree with you, we NEED more Insomniac, and I would probably die if I heard anything from Warning (except for Waiting and Minority, which they normally play). Why is Deadbeat Holiday so forgotten? I would love to see it live 1 Quote
mikedirntseviltwin Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Literally just the 21CB World Tour setlist but with a few songs from Rev Rad 1 Quote

Hitchin' a Ride is one of the "deep cuts" more likely to be played on any given night because it was a live staple for so, so long that people still know it. Are they even doing encores anymore? I thought it pretty much went straight from Bobby Sox into Good Riddance, with no pause for an encore. St. Jimmy works by itself. Not every song has to fit a narrative all the time. In live shows, it's a quick little "go fucking mental" number played for a crowd that's just waiting for excuses to go fucking mental. If it were ten minutes long, I'd get dropping it. Speaking of ten-minute-long songs... On 7/14/2025 at 11:30 AM, GreenDayJunkie86 said: Definitely more Insomniac. I agree with the Jesus of Suburbia one, too. It's not really an intentional thing, it just happens when I come across a little chain of songs that works well together. On 7/14/2025 at 11:44 PM, Mollyluna said: The title track! But seriously, Waiting needs a lot more love than it gets, if we're talking about underplayed songs. Also, someone please bribe Billie Joe to put American Eulogy back in the set. He doesn't have to mention who's throwing gas into the hysteria. Quote

"Because the martyr is a compulsive liar when he said it's just a bunch of Antifa throwing gas into the hysteria" In reality it'll never happen because adding it back into the setlist would just kick up dust and cause a controversy that they do not need. Still a pump-ass song though. Quote
