albert1285 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 What song would you like them to make a video of? I personally would like to see one for X-Kid (a real one, not the cassette. Which looks nice and old style, but come on that's not really a video) or Dirty Rotten Bastards. Also I believe Dos! doesn't have any videos, except the Stray Heart one if I'm not mistaken.
jacknovella Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I would really hope so, but it's uncertain now that the albums aren't really new anymore. They may decide to just continue to focus on touring and maybe take the pressure off a bit. However, maybe they could do something like the Stray Heart video? I don't think the band was even involved in that video at all, besides providing the song obviously.
billiejoephil Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I guess a proper video for X-Kid is pretty realistic. So, I'm hoping for it, cuz that song is effing amazing.
PanicAttack! Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I think X-Kid is a lost cause by now, it's probably 99 Revolutions this early summer, or nothing. I'm good either way, but the label might decide to put one last effort into the trilogy, and 99 Revolutions - the song most reminiscent of their American idiot glory days - as a summer single, in promotion of a tour by the same name, might be the way to go from their point of view. I'm just worried people will get the wrong idea based on Oh Love and 99 Revolutions, and will bash the latter for it's irrelevancy now in terms of the Occupy movement back in 2011. It is still a good song though, and is has potential.
iRun Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Imagine seeing X-Kid being played on MTV or something... Confusion would insure.
Gmg44 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I really hope they make a video for Brutal Love. I actually had a dream and I thought it was the perfect music video for it haha. Pretty much Green Day all dressed up in 1940's style band playing in a large elegant ballroom with a large brass band Billie had Elvis hair too. Man, that was a crazy dream.
VisionsofGreenDay115 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Imagine seeing X-Kid being played on MTV or something... Confusion would insure. this is the 21st century, MTV doesnt play music.
moonflower93 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 the chances of videos are either uncertain or nonexistant, and 99 Revolutions is practically the last hope for the trilogy.
iScottie Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 A 99 Revolutions video would be the best song to use.
VisionsofGreenDay115 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Here's a genius idea, make the 99 Revolutions video about the Occupy movement.
insomniax Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I think they will do X-kid. Again. But a video for Brutal Love is a little dream of mine. It could be kind of like Thougher than the rest by Springsteen, with a twist.

How weird I just had a dream about Billie and Adrienne wallking down the red carpet with 40s hair and clothes. vintage cameras flashing everywhere. It was awsome!!
Guest Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Still got my fingers crossed for a Nightlife video.
ChelseaDagger Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Still got my fingers crossed for a Nightlife video. no way. Makeout Party all the way.
Guest Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 no way. Makeout Party all the way. With loads of middle school girls. Definitely wouldn't win all the creepiness awards.

DirtyRottenForgotten Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Unfortunately I don't think Dos will have have any singles other than Stray Heart let alone a video coming from Dos. I would have loved a Lazy Bones or Amy video. But Tre may still have a hope. X-Kid not so sure but I could see them releasing 99 Revolutions as a single with a kick-ass video that would get them put back into the mainstream again. I could also see Missing You being a good single. I think Uno and Dos are lost causes for singles and videos at this point though. Unfortunately.
HARVESTER Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 this is the 21st century, MTV doesnt play music. MTV should change their name to Modern Television
Crimpshrine Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 they have to Make "maybe thay should make" for :99 Revs. Brutal Love and DRB.
Jean Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I would take any song off of Dos or Tre as a video at this point. no way. Makeout Party all the way. It should be a compilation of all the times Billie kissed fans.
HolyHandGrenade Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 GD just got back on the road a week ago! There is still time to promote X-Kid now with a video and tv appearances, and do the same in the summer for 99 Revs.MTV should change their name to Modern Television Sheeple Television
Tommy's Tonsils Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 As long as they get rid of Sam Bayer. Because seriously.
MaraGreenDay Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I really hope they make a video for Brutal Love. I actually had a dream and I thought it was the perfect music video for it haha.
