~ Walking Contradiction Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 gh, the only band I like apart from GD is Frank Turner...hope they will add some UK shows
tvrman Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Fingers crossed as Reading gets good TV coverage, and also that will hopefully mean arena gigs.
Daddy. Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 gh, the only band I like apart from GD is Frank Turner...hope they will add some UK shows The show before this is Mid July, so this gives them a month of free time until R+L (assuming this is correct)
~ Walking Contradiction Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 The show before this is Mid July, so this gives them a month of free time until R+L (assuming this is correct) uhm no they're rumoured to play a festival in Canada in early August...maybe in September
Martyn Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 Kinda in two minds about this to be honest. The two bands i REALLY want to see are Fall Out Boy + Green Day, and of course they're on opposite sides of the weekend....ah my life is this just a rumour or? Reading + Leeds' promotion company who posts press releases, uploaded it to their website early by accident, before taking it down. so yeah, legit!
Requila Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 is this just a rumour or? Official announcement at 7PM, but it's quite certain.
Daddy. Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 uhm no they're rumoured to play a festival in Canada in early August...maybe in September Oops, thanks for that.

~ Walking Contradiction Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 There was a rumour last week about a special interview with Green Day by NME...the next issue will be about R&L so it could be true
gmcloughlin Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Nice one! I'm gonna think about heading over for this :-)
Undómiel Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I made a very loud squeaking noise!! And I'm in a public place... that would be sssoooo good!
burnout409 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 This would be awesome and i would consider going, for a day to see them and other bands depending on who else is playing that day! I was thinking about volunteering their this year which might be a cool idea, i dunno yet! Anyways will be awesome if this is true!
Mary711 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I'm hoping for more UK dates if this turns out to be true.
Undómiel Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 The official announcement is at 7pm tonight on BBC Radio One.
Yaz. Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Stereoboard keep dropping hints now with Green Day videos on twitter and facebook
Davepalooza Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Roll on 7pm. When I hear their name announced it will be time to book tickets.
EastCaitNowhere Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Fingers crossed as Reading gets good TV coverage, and also that will hopefully mean arena gigs. Yeah, but it has been known for some bands to object to have their set shown on TV, I think Muse did in 2011 and I know Paramore did for sure last year. Don't know if Green Day would want to do that, but it's the band's choice overall.
Harriet Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Don't think I could afford a day ticket for this :\ hope this means more UK dates though!
Billie-Joe's Bitch Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I would love to go, Reading is literally like half an hour from where I live, but I think I might be in New York
I-Like-Pop-Tarts Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I think a reading / leeds headline pretty much prevents them from doing their own gigs around that time tbh.. There's usually some clause in the fest contracts that they dont headline other shows (their own or other fests) as to prevent loss of ticket sales for the fest.. Hence why a batch of tix went on sale for wembley last week..
I-Like-Pop-Tarts Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Although saying that I don't think that would necessarily rule out an Irish date.. But I would think Cardiff / Manchester / Birmingham etc would be unlikely. But if they're in the country then who knows what could happen.. smaller secret shows for example??
