I'm going to see Green Day on April 3rd. The venue allows cameras but it matters on the artist/team.

Do you think I could still bring it? It's a Canon Rebel. Could I contact someone to ask? Thank you

You could contact the venue and ask for someone to explain the full photo policy. You might need a press/photo pass.

Definitely not. I can say with near certainty that most large venues never allow profesional cameras unless you have a press pass/photo pass.

Also, Green Day shows almost never allow cameras, but some venues are stricter about enforcing it than others. I had one show where we couldn't even take our cell phones out. They took people's phones away. I'm serious. They were so strict.

Not to mention you might break it/have it stolen.

Camera/video policy rules vary from venue to venue. The standard is no camera with a detachable lens, small digital cameras are alright. No video recording accepted anywhere (so no camcorders) and if ushers or security see you recording with your phone or camera, they may either: take the camera away from you, shine a flashlight at your camera/at you to alert you to turn it off, pull you outside and ask you to delete footage or simply ask you to not record.

Like I said, it varies from venue to venue (the detachable lens is standard though) but artists may have their own rules as well. There are usually a posting of allowed items allowed inside a venue posted up when you get there, so just watch out for that! As far as Green Day goes, small cameras are allowed (though for the sake of the band, PLEASE turn your flash off!)

I hope this answered your question :)
