Its always a mistake to read a comments section on any article about something that you like/love. I just don't read comments sections on most websites anymore, places like GDA of course are fine because for the vast majority everyone is going to share the same opinion. But somewhere where opinions can differ a lot, people just start getting hateful and nasty sometimes and loose respect for other people.

So i would just ignore the comments, the people posting them mean nothing really just let them do what they want and ignore them.

I've noticed this too. There seems to be less hate there than before. Last year GD made it into both Top 10 albums of the year (the trilogy) and the best rock opera's of all time (American Idiot) which were both voted by visitors.

Maybe it's because the people who read that article are not the fans of Green Day, they read it just because they're curious and it's intresting to read about someone's rehab.. But they don't know nothing about Billie, probably they know nothing about Green Day, so they assume it's just another addict like many other celebrities.. Only we, true fans, know that it's not true and Billie is not like the others, we know more about him and we can understand it better, we know that he's not a person who drinks just 'cause he wanna party, but he drinks because of his problems, we know how amazing person he is and how he helped to so many people with his music... The people who make those comments don't know nothing about him and about his situation.
