localinsomniac
I'm pretty sure he does say, actually. And, as it's already been said, it's credited to Billie Joe. You don't say! Can't...tell.....if sarcasm. I see that it's credited to Billie now. But I haven't watched any of the airings- I'd rather wait until the unedited/unabridged version is available, so I didn't know the lyrics were credited to BJ. We all get stuff wrong sometimes! Why is his daughter named Ryan? Can't...tell.....if serious. It's a unisex name. Just like Kelly, or Steve. And it's Mike's middle name, but I'm sure you knew that already. joeysturkeyhead
Why is his daughter named Ryan? Because Mike's middle name is Ryan, also Brixton's middle name is Michael because of Mike. Plus, Billie is mainly a girl name, most guys are named Billy so why couldn't Mike's daughter be named Ryan?

I've seen Ryan, Kelly, and Steve as last names, but never first names on girls. Middle names don't count for shit, they can go either way
WrongWayToSalvation
You guys are thinking too much into this. They're probably just jams they recorded. They have titles like "Hotfoot Jamboree"... that's just a jam title. Which is funny, because it's a lot more imaginative then some of the actual song titles on this trilogy. farley drexel hatcher
You know the title of the song can be totally random and irrelevant to the actual song, right? And you say this Ruby Mae song has no lyrics? Even more of a reason to give it a random, top of your head title. In no way does it indicate Billie is writing songs about Mike's children (not that there's anything wrong with that if he was!)

Went to school with a couple of girls named Ryan. The Steve thing was just a gag, but yeah- middle names don't really mean anything.

I thought that might perhaps be Hotfoot Jamboree.
Insomniac45
This. There was some kind of instrumental thing I think while Tre was riding around in that guille-swamp suit. I thought that might perhaps be Hotfoot Jamboree. I still think there were songs that were recorded as B-sides. Not just these ones. Hopefully they end up getting released. green day is
I don't think there are going to be any B-sides, but I think we'll see some tracks getting released in some form. Maybe on compilations, for movies, etc. I'm sure they get asked to do stuff for movies and video games all the time and these will be on them. chrism17
You know now that I think of it, it says Miss Judgement Day. This song must have been rolled into Dirty Rotten Bastards.
Jean
Maybe Billie Joe wrote the song for Mike's Daughter! Yeah it wouldn't be the first time a band member wrote a song about another band member's kid. *cough*HEYJUDE*cough*
basKT_case90
Good catch! That makes perfect sense! Based on the lyrics sheet seen in Quatro, I believe Dirty Rotten Bastards was its own stand alone song that wasnt 7 mins long. But then as you say a few other songs were combined with it to make the epics as we now know it.
