LittleBoyNamedTrain Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I've not seen a thread for this yet, and I think it's worthy of one. The music video for Stray Heart is out, and it's pretty damn awesome: http://www.nme.com/nme-video/green-day---stray-heart/1949666623001
Brian Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I liked it. Great concept that follows the song. It would've been nice to see the boys in it though...
cj_unoxx Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I loved it but it would've been awesome to see Billie play the main role...they still should've had like a screen that showed them playing live just like in Jesus of Suburbia. But I liked it either way
Cre Tool. Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 IT MAKES SENSE! THE VIDEO MAKES SENSE! Although I wish Green Day was in it too, but its still pretty damn awesome!
WorryRock02 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 no green day in the video...but it's prettu good anyway
Dutchiedragon Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 i had to learn philosophy for school, it was about whether people have a soul or not and if there a difference between feelings and body and then i saw that the videoclip of Stray Heart perfect! I really love the video! And the song off course. Think i'm gonna show it tomorrow to my philosophy teacher
blitzkriegdeb Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted in the screenshot thread because this one popped up while I was posting : That was weird, but really fucking good. It did the whole storyline thing without being cheesy, and I love how they literally took the "heart on the run" theme. I'm not really a fan of Stray Heart, but the video is awesome. The heart thing threw me off when I first saw it, but as the video went on I understood what the video was going for. Also, I loved Green Day not being in it. There wasn't any place they could've fit in without looking out of place.
LetItBeHappy Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 awesome video, fun to watch and a decent interpretation of the song!
TheGreenDayKidd Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I really like it. In my opinion this is the best video from the triology so far. (even if there aren't Green Day in it. )
Nemo. Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I love this video. So sweet how he's following his heart. I really like it, much better than KTDJ and Oh Love.
Ashley! Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I think it's awesome! I loved the womanizing jerk posters.
Maddy. Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 here's what I think of the video: [image] That's a very profound opinion you have there.
Eisen Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Also, I loved Green Day not being in it. There wasn't any place they could've fit in without looking out of place. Yeah, I thought the same. In the context of the video it would have looked "forced" if the guys were on it. Now, this was a real video that made sense! I loved it, so funny. And it's the first (proper) video we get from the trilogy!
ChrisRock93 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 definetely different from all the other Green Day Music Videos in past. But I refer this way to make a music video... nonetheless it would be even cooler if Green Day would be seen in it, too!
Comic Sans Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 That's a very profound opinion you have there. Only 1/50th of what I think of the video, but the best one
Disapperingirl Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I found the video freaking great! It's original, it shows a concept and a story, and in a hilarious way Also, please give me a boy that buys me tons of Green Day vinyls, I wouldn't care about his heart
ghesboro Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I find this video better than the song itself. That doesn't mean that I don't like the song.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I liked it. Didn't hate it. Didn't love it either, but I wanted to. I'm still waiting for something trilogy-era to blow me away and I don't know why it hasn't happened yet. I've been told I set my standards too high. Am I the only one who thinks Green Day not being in it made it less awesome? When the chorus was about to start, I think it would have been perfect for it to cut to them playing somewhere, and then during the verses, switch back to the storyline. I mean, given certain circumstances I know and understand why it didn't happen, but I wish it could have.
ThibautDookie Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Where are the fans that participated in it ?
Hermione Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Tee hee I love the little heart man! This is such a cool video, literally a stray heart . Fantastic. I enjoyed the little Green Day references in there too. The band not playing in it doesn't bother me at all as I often find it unnecessary and distracting when they insert clips of bands playing into almost every music video just for the sake of it, often not adding much to the video and sometimes even taking away from the story/concept of it. It's much more eye catching and interesting with just the storyline shown without any breaks like that. Would've been SUPER cool if one of the band members had played the bloke with the missing heart. But I can't have everything , still think it's great with an actor doing the job.
Florence Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Just watched it. My first reaction: My second reaction: Am I the only one who thinks Green Day not being in it made it less awesome? When the chorus was about to start, I think it would have been perfect for it to cut to them playing somewhere, and then during the verses, switch back to the storyline. I mean, given certain circumstances I know and understand why it didn't happen, but I wish it could have. You're not the only one. :/ I wish they could have appeared in the video somehow.
Ritz Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I loved the video. It made sense which is a new thing. Rob is a great director. I don't miss Green Day in the video at all which I didn't expect. The storyline is great and well performed. I just love the depiction of the song. Definitely a thumbs-up and way better than Kill the DJ and Oh Love. Its the best one from the Trilogy so far!
