Aaawww - Always, Billie Thanks for posting! Would anyone be able to translate a few interesting parts? That'd be awesome. "Right. That's Where everything comes from. And the term "Rock 'n' Roll" in fact is very sexual. instead of concealing things, we're just like: It's time to fuck more often. What I also practise almost every night with my wife - Whether If she wants to or not. I just put duct tape on her mouth and get started (laughs)"

Anja Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Tré is also on the cover of Drum Heads. Which of course I already bought Thanks for letting us know about those two. SLAM is actually my favorite music mag (although it's actually Austrian).
Sammy Vicious Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 And both magazines wrote "Billy" instead of Billie. -.-'
RiseDay Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 The 2 Interviews are very similar I'm trying to translate it. It's just the same stuff we heard thouand times before: -They are in there best time for writing songs. They went back to the roots with the song writing (just simple songs) -They made the Triology because the songs kept coming and stuff - Billie said: "Rock'n'Roll is just a different word for Fuck Time" (not actually words, but the same Meaning) I think that was everything important.. Billie said something about Blue too He used in the Nimrod Era the first time a different Tune in his songs, So he needed more guitars to play all the songs live. He wanted to keep Blue as his live guitar, so he made a lot of copies of Blue with different tunes. Yeha.I think that was everything important.. Sorry for my english, but I'm german :/ A lot of copies broke fast After a little time, he was like "Fuck it" and desided to use different guitars.

Pieces of Truth Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Werent some people like really offended about this comment a while ago? come on now lighten up How could anyone be offended by it? He was obviously joking (Even said he is, but I left that part out because someone asked for something interesting and I wanted to mess around and it sounded "funnier" that way )

Yeah, this sounds right, because (besides the ambiguous tunings on 39/Smooth/Kerplunk) Billie and Mike played in Eb tuning, and on Nimrod they started playing in E standard. That's why Billie uses Blue on Dookie/Insomniac songs. I think 21st Century Breakdown and Before the Lobotomy are in Eb too
BornToLose Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 this is murica! speak murica or get out! jk.

WestboundSign! Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Thanks a lot for the scans! I only read the first interview since a lot of people said they were pretty similar. And yeah, it was interesting. I especially liked the part where Billie talked about the german audience at concerts. But I really have to say that the first article is kinda unprofessionally written, at least that's how it appears to me. Things like "Billy Joe" or sometimes using "Sie" and then "du" again in the questions.. Some of his answers are terribly translated into german as well.. I might be completely wrong since I never heard of that magazine before. Shouldn't judge from one article. And I really enjoyed reading it anyways!
Mandy_PunkRock Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I can't understand german but that's awesome! Thanks for posting! The cover of Slam is great
Drankolz Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I saw that slam article the other day, and I loved it. But since I have almost no money left for October, I decided not to buy it. It's not perfectly written, but has some cool stuff in it. I'll do some translating maybe. By the way, there's an interview with Tré in german drum magazine "Drumheads!!" too. I bought that one, and already translated it. I don't have scans yet though. I'll post it tomorrow!
Slave To The Network Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That's awesome! Too bad I can't read German. But I likes the pictures! Billie is always so pretty!
Florence Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Thanks for the scans! ... The part with the duct tape and "öfter mal poppen" haha

I don't have scans yet though. I'll post it tomorrow! Oh you have it? That's awesome! I wanted to buy it but didn't have enough money left, like one euro was missing. So it'd be awesome to still be able to read it!
