Here's what I found on FB:

Billie Joe Armstrong (40), in rehab, went last weekend firmly to drink in Las Vegas, confirms the ex-wife of Green Day drummer Tre Cool, Claudia Suarez Wright.

"He is doing well. His wife, his children and his mother are with him," said Wright Celebuzz.

Her son is the godchild of Billie Joe.

According to Wright, Billie Joe Armstrong had been over a year sober. Earlier this month, Armstrong was in Italy in a hospital, but then he had not been drinking, she knows. "He was really sick, and it was not the drink." Armstrong's mother confirmed that her son had suffered food poisoning.

Look, here's the deal on the "rehab updates". Don't believe anything you see or read unless it's on a reputable site (i.e., NOT Facebook) and quotes BJ, Adrienne, Mike, Tre or a Warner spokesperson. Rehab is a very private undertaking (unless you're Lindsay fucking Lohan), and any reports from Tre's ex-wife, Rob Calvallo's next-door neighbor or Mike's cat are likely to be either utter bullshit dreamed up by a writer who wants some notoriety or a source who probably knows jack-shit, but wants their name in the news.

Unless/until a highly-credible update comes out, we will continue to lock these threads, and I personally would discourage people from posting them in the first place.
