porksoda Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 My apologies if there is already a similar topic, I searched but didn't see anything. So with Best Coast announced as the opener for the first part of Green Day's upcoming tour, it seems like opinions are split down the middle (some like the idea, others don't). Who, ideally, would you like to see open up for Green Day? I liked the support of AFI during their last tour, but unfortunately, it wasn't the AFI that I like, and they were promoting Crash Love. Quickly browsing through my music library, I noted several bands who would probably make great openers for Green Day... Against Me!, The Sounds, Bad Religion, Rancid. As a personal choice, I would love to see Alkaline Trio open for them (my two favorite bands), although I know most people probably wouldn't be interested. So overall, I think two awesome choices for openers would be either Billy Talent or The Living End. I've never seen Talent live, but I feel like they'd be a really good band to get everyone warmed up. I have seen The Living End live and they are just amazing, plus they were on Adeline Records for a bit. What are everyone else's thoughts?
Pieces of Truth Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Isn't billy talent too big to open for another band? Or am I talking bullshit?
