Comic Sans Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Well, I noticed every GD album has one (or possibly more) high moments: (I always thought if an album has a lot of high moments, it's a good album ) for example AI has oly one high moment (but not because it's a bad album, but 'cause it has got one moment where the tension is very high) AI high moment: "And don't look back!" (Letterbomb) Well, i gave you the material. Discuss
Harry Potter. Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Every single song that Green Day has ever written is a high moment the whole time. So...

Pieces of Truth Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Every single song that Green Day has ever written is a high moment the whole time. So... Maybe except Take back... don't hit me, please.
Harry Potter. Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Maybe except Take back... don't hit me, please. I love that song!
Neon Light Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 "High moment" is a pretty broad term, but I think in general a moment like this is one where Billie really spells out what he's trying to say and makes you go "fuck yeah" when you hear it. On ¡Uno! one that comes to mind is Rusty James - "Anything but the mainstream/Where the fuck is your old gang man?"
localinsomniac Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I expect roughly 41 high moments when these songs finally get busted out.
frunsi Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 i thought the AI high moment was the letterbomb scream...

localinsomniac Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Musically, the moment in any Green Day album that split my uprights would be the last 15 seconds or so of Jesus of Suburbia.
dallasthemenace Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 for me, the drop at the beginning of murder city. and the solo.
StuckWithInsomnia Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Parts that made me say "fuck yeah" were: iUno!: *silent* . . . SAY!! You'll Stay the night" and well as "Where the fuck is your old gang man?" in Stay the night and Rusty James 21stCB: "I'm not FUCKING AROUND" (Horseshoes and hand grenades) Warning: ".... DUMBSTRUCK!!!!" as well as "A free for all, fuck em all!" as well as "CAUTION POLICE LINE YOU BETTER NOT CROSS (Waiting and Minority and Warning) Nimrod: "Shit! *solo*" in Hitchin A Ride. Insomniac: "Well I know i am not allllriiiiight!" and "Find another pleasure fucker drag em down to hell" and "Spontaneous combustion panic attack!!! I start to care and i get myself All wound up!!" in Stuck with Me and Bab's Uvula Who? Dookie: I'm ta---king pride, in telling you to fuck off and die! GOOOOOOOODNIIIIIIIIGHT" in FOD
RoosterTeeth Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Right before the last chorus in Haushinka.

StuckWithInsomnia Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 kerplunk and 1039/smoothed out slappy hours arent green day albums? or do they have no high moments? Neither, I just couldn't think of any because im not a huge fan of either
Lauren Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 It's hard to have a "high moment" unless you're talking about AI or 21st CB, because they're concept albums/stories, while the rest are just a collection of songs. The musical helped me out with this one, but Letterbomb is definitely the high point of AI. The song is high energy, in your face, and lots of anger and emotion. It's also kind of the turning point.
Comic Sans Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 i thought the AI high moment was the letterbomb scream... THIS!
inthehallwaynow Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 High moment for me on uno in rusty james is when he says "There's no where to go when you're hiding in plain sight" I fucking love that.
StuckWithRob Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 'Shut your mouth cos you're talking too much and I don't give a fuck anyway' has to be the high point of Uno
Slave To The Network Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Every single song that Green Day has ever written is a high moment the whole time. So... Yeah, I have to go with this too.
