Fuzz Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I believe posts were made in the Random news thread, but thought I should share this here. We have scans up of the latest issue of Rolling Stone with an interview with Billie Joe and their review of ¡Uno! http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/171/1/
DTH Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 thx. but green day not kicking out dangerous scientology members makes me sick.
Fuzz Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 thx. but green day not kicking out dangerous scientology members makes me sick. Yeah I'm sure that's not an overreaction on your part at all.
warding_off_regrets Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 thx. but green day not kicking out dangerous scientology members makes me sick. Because not allowing a person to enter the theatre because of their religion is less sickening. Scientology is batshit, but it's also harmless. I'm laughing at Billie's comment about Christina's mood
WrongWayToSalvation Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 thx. but green day not kicking out dangerous scientology members makes me sick. Is it? Is it ONLY because they're scientologists? Or is it because they're white?
DTH Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 yeah i know in america scientology isnt received as dangerous as it is in europe. maybe cause so many famous people are into it. but scientologie is NOT a religion. its a dangerous sect manupulating people.

I know parts of Europe don't recognize it as a religion, but the U.S. does. And honestly, I feel like your last sentence applies to any religion.
Ashley! Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 So just because Tom Cruise was mentioned once in this article Scientology had to be brought up? I really liked the who wears more mascara question, that one made me laugh.
No Rhyme Or Reason Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Nice interview! Lol, Billie doesn't wear mascara! That's for eyelashes. He wears eyeliner. Or guyliner. Whatever. I like how he say Obama basically is a rock star. Brobama! Not to get too political.... But he's the most popular president in a long time. Cool.
Femme Gauche Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Because not allowing a person to enter the theatre because of their religion is less sickening. Scientology is batshit, but it's also harmless. I'm laughing at Billie's comment about Christina's mood She's very flirtatious. With the way he's been wearing his shirts lately, I can't imagine why her mood would be improved . Always love a good ol' Q&A ! That review was really good, too, though. I don't mean cause they praised it, but just the imagery it produces. And trying to describe the sound of a song without giving technical details (like notes...) takes a lot of practice and a good music catalog to verbally draw on xP.
justcause Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 That review was really good, too, though. I don't mean cause they praised it, but just the imagery it produces. And trying to describe the sound of a song without giving technical details (like notes...) takes a lot of practice and a good music catalog to verbally draw on xP. Plus he has a very limited space ; it would be nice if Rolling Stone gave Fricke a page or even half a page to spread himself for a significant release like this. As it is, a large space is taken up with the (very cool) graphic, with the review sidelined into a kind of intense shorthand ; probably this is down to a perception that people wanna speed-read a review and get bullet-point info on new releases, but fuckit, if you've got a writer, let him write.
Kitty Purry Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 lol you guys are ignorant when it comes to scientology, tom cruise & co did a good job! The only reason he was probably there was to recruite them Glad that x-tina made a friend I feel like she's only surrounded by fake people and adam levine so it was probably quite a shock when she realized bj wasn't.
Burnout98 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Thanks for these, it was an interesting read.
Mar Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 GDA images won't show up on my computer ... what the FUCK is this Scientology nonsense?
WestboundSign! Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Nice interview! I love the last part when Billie says "I came in a close second, that's for sure." That made me smile
DecanoLP Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Cool to see he mentioned the Berlin show and recognized how great that crowd actually was
Annie, get your gun Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Cool! I wonder when are they going to be on the cover...
Hermione Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Nice! I liked what he had to say about going on The Voice. Pretty nice review too.
