Let Yourself Go production methods opinions/questions?!?!

So I purchased Let Yourself Go last night & I have listened to the jam about a dozen and a half times so far, & I am totally loving the sound/production of the record & I just wanted to geek out for a minute and ask some of my fellow GD addicts what some of their opinions may be regarding what they think was done, as far as the techniques utilized, to create this most BITCHIN composition was? I listened to it on a pair of fairly nice studio head phones and then this morning on a fairly high end set of studio monitor speakers & I must say the recording is insanely warm sounding in comparison to AI/21CB, which makes me think they utilized analog recording somewhere along the line, & to myself is very reminiscent of Insomniac/Dookie/Nimrod...... HOWEVER, the song is also very very "clean" sounding to me which makes me think digital means of production were utilized, & it very much so reminded me of AI/21CB in that aspect, yet it DEFINATELY felt lighter/had greater feeling of sonic depth/had a more noticeable level of treble than Insomniac/Dookie/Nimrod. Really the only comparison that my brain can come up with in regards to sonic quality is Warning, which is seriously cool beans to me personally, however even that record has less of the punchiness/organic/ambient feel this record seems to have. I remember Tre Cool saying the band records on both tape/digital, but am totally bewildered by this sound as to how they are using these methods, and what stages of production are done on which medium. Not a 100% sure, but I feel like I can tell fairly well which medium was utilized for certain aspects of AI/21CB, but so far with what I’ve heard from the Trilogy, I am totally fucking at a loss & clueless!!! I was just wondering if y'all had any opinions/felt the same way/felt differently about any of this? I am not asking/saying any of this is good/bad or right/wrong, just if anyone else was geeking out over this particular aspect of the new jivin jams!!!????? PS. Song is AWESOME FUCK FUCK AWESOME FUCK!!!............. Or so my brain, adrenaline, & gut tell me.
