Rumour: Green Day doing a couple of US "secret shows" possibly, this month?

I've heard that Green Day have plans to do a week or so of secret shows, possibly at the end of this month? Including some New York dates (MAY be more than one )

Trying to get more details on this even if i don't think i can afford a trip over!

guessing they'll be just after the Las Vegas show (Think that's the 21st?), I can see them doing an LA show along with the NY ones...wonder where else they'll go

Just places, but then i heard of someone applying for press for a New York show which collaborates with what i've heard from people which adds credibility to me at least

It's a pretty loose rumour right now admittingly but i haven't been let down before so here's hoping

Well Martyn was right about the secret show in London so this is very possible I guess. Trying to get a source from him for that show was near impossible

though he did drop hints to what day it would be on and he was right

They are doing the Ellen show on the 27th, I don't know where that show is recorded but I guess its possible they'll do a show in whatever City that is around then

Pretty sure the Ellen show isn't a live show. So they'll be taping it earlier, so shows anytime after 21st, anywhere, is possible.

Not that they'd come to Chicago, but one can always hope.

considering the guys obviously like doing smaller shows from time to time then these "rumours" that keep coming up will be right from time to time. there was no secret Paris or Rome shows. we do know the guys like doing them though and that they have done them in the past before a full tour starts/launch party type things. I think you can pretty much say they WILL do some secret shows.....New York/Cali are highly likely to be where they might happen.

secret/small shows will happen as a last minute thing when they have the energy and time to do them. if they aren`t secret/news is leaked too early they will be pulled.

There was a Paris secret show which they even announced before cancelling though!

Fair enough on Rome but with tour shirts listing it...and well Mr. Armstrong getting sick + cancelling the show beforehand..there'd have been uproar if he had done the Rome show just the day after cancelling iFestival (if he was even well enough) so obviously that wasn't going ahead :/

Lacking in concrete details for this right now tbh compared to the UK shows but i'll try to get more info!

ahhh, didn't know this. yeah that gives them a nice open schedule for the week or shows

Its taped in Burbank, California on the Warner Bros lot so they'll probably do it sooner rather than later considering the location. Maybe just after the VMAs (They're LA, right?)
