holyshitaflyingbanna Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 The new video for Kill The DJ is out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpEcGeWkWYE
Ritz Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Great video. Loved the colors and the guys on the BIKE ! I mean that was They looked so good ! But I dont know why, even this video doesnt fit to the song. That's my opinion. I dont know why I'm just not happy about the video. Its good and all but does it fit with the song? NO !
Harry Potter. Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Oeh, nice little surprise. Two days earlier than we expected. It was a fine video until the last chorus. No need for all the blood.
DoodleBob Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 So much better than Oh Love's music video! I love the parts where it just shows Green Day jamming.
Karol Oliveira Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Nice video! I think the video fits the song. Billie said in some interviews that the song is about "static and noise", media controlling people's minds (from what I remember). "Onward Christian soldiers filled with jivin' mind control" For me, in the first part of the video, the band is free, free of the mind-control of the media. Riding motorcycles represents freedom (it was used in several movies before). And they're having fun! Also, they're riding in the desert... no one else is there, the people who are free of mind-control are rare. But then, they're caught by the media somehow and they ended up in that place where media can control - the dancefloor. It is crowded and apparently people are having fun there, because media says you're supposed to have fun on dancefloors. And the dancefloor could also represent a lot of pop and dance music that is on mainstream today. But the band knows better. They're unimpressed. It is like the media can't control them and make them have fun with all that's being thrown in their direction. It seems to me that even when they're playing, they aren't having fun. Billie seems to be mad while he sings, warning everybody. This is my first impression. My interpretation might be wrong, though. Sorry if I didn't express myself well
whitechristmas Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 The blood was a tad creepy, bit cool video nonetheless.
beejeezee Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 "Hold him under water 'till he suffocates and drowns"

WalkingContradictionPL Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Is it only me, or this video is a bit boring? It's much better then Oh Love but in the first part guys are on motorbikes, then dancing people and guys walking betwen them. I know that walking is typical for Green Day videos but I was excpecting zombies, death of DJ but no fighting womans. I want more blood and shooting DJ!
The Forgotten Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Yup, well done, I thought the blood was the perfect way to wrap up the theme of a chaotic dance floor

Yeah I was kinda expecting something of that sort too.
CemeteryDrive Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I'm not sure... I like the colours and the guys playing but... I don't know. It doesn't wow me.
NickD Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I just can't stand the radio-edit version of the song. It really borthers me
iRun Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Awesome fucking vid. I love how they looked badass walking through the club.

Sorry if I didn't express myself well I really liked your intepretation! I had already thought along those same lines with the part when they're already in the club, but I hadn't come up with a good explanation for the dessert bit except that they were getting to the club your take on that part was a lot smarter!
green day is Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 It's been blocked D: [Edit:] Yet if I go to the actual page instead of trying to play the embedded one, it works. Huh.
! Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 The video was okay, and it was my first time hearing the song and it was good.

1039SweetChildren Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 It's a cool video.. I just hope they start to get more creative with the videos from here out. It's a nice visual piece but nothing really happens.
Sarcasm Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 it's not out, it's leaked. It's 2 days from now, and the video is already taken down..
