Some douchebag "sports anchor" on one of our news stations here said this morning, "There's a song called 'Wake Me Up When September Ends', and that could be used to describe some American football team blah blah". I stopped listening after he started going on about that, and muttered something to myself about how dick that was because of what the song IS about. nonetheless, it was a Green Day reference. -_-

I was waiting for my laundry and Last of the American Girls started playing on the TV, it was on You've Been Framed and used for clips of people falling off bikes

I was all "Green Day!" and the guy sitting on the floor with a comic just looked at me gone out.

reminded me of the lyrics in "Loss of Control"

We never had anything in common and I never liked you anyway

Snippet of "Good Riddance" in the movie "Sex Tape" (of course it was for a collage video for school - like every idiot uses the song).

There's an author, Joe Hart, who incorporates Green Day into his writing on occasion. He is from Minnesota and seems to be a fan. He's an excellent writer, I recommend checking him out if you are into the horror genre. Just now came across this paragraph from the novel "Lineage": "Lance reached to the dash and turned on the radio on, letting the sounds of Green Day pour out of the surrounding speakers..... By the time Billie Joe Armstrong quit telling everyone where he would be found when he came around, the city of Duluth rose up on his left..." He's done similar things in other writings. Always makes me smile.

The new song '20 Years (That’s a Lot Of Beers)' on Bowling For Soup's their new greatest hits album references Green Day.

The song is about the things that have happened in the 20 years they have been a band. They reference a few other artists as well.

"Green Day has been on Broadway"

I was just listening to the jazz radio station and a tune that came on sounded oddly familiar.

Turns out it was an instrumental jazz rendition of Mahogany :ga:

What a time for me to find out that it wasn't an original PHGP song

My buddy is out in California with someone who has a medical card and they got a strain called Boulevard of Broken Dreams Kush. I'll post a picture of the label when I get one.
