In a fucken' disco, 2 years ago. They played Basket Case. I don't even remember why I was there since I hate discos, but I was there. First though: "I'm gonna puke all night long." Fortunately it didn't happen. Wow, my stomach must be a very strong one.

I always feel like the Green Day references thread is far too broadly applied Like, the first time I went in there, I was expecting to see Green Day stuff in movies and TV shows and music, hell even books....and all that stuff was in there, but then some people will just be like "Oh, I heard Green Day over the loudspeaker in the mall" or even just a conversation about the band, and it's like "Where do we draw the line here?"

As for the second topic, that one specifically mentions *hearing* Green Day played somewhere, whereas this topic also allows for seeing Green Day related things.

Good arguments, but I think those two threads have it covered. It's true there's some not-so-good Green Day references in that thread, but there's plenty of interesting ones to be found in there too
