Green Day's Facebook page just posted that they will be playing at the American Idiot performance in San Francisco today...I think. I know people get confused with the bandsintown thing but this came from Green Day's official facebook so is it true?

I think I might have got this wrong...I was just surprised because it came from their page on my newsfeed, and I figured SF isn't too far for them to go to play so I don't know :| Mods, feel free to close this

This happens all the time... For some reason, Bandsintown lists the musical under Green Day... Green Day isn't playing. It's the musical being posted.

No, I think it's a fanmade Green Day page you have there because I can't see that post on their official Facebook page either. And also, they would probably write something about it on www.greenday.com so... Yeah, I think it's fake.
