A few questions about Green Day concerts...

1. How early do you generally have to arrive (for general admission) to stand right up at the front of the stage?

2. What sort of tour merch do they sell (other than shirts)?

3. Do you get a tour program or something like that, or do you have to buy them?

4. Does the band throw out guitar picks or anything to the crowd?

5. How do they choose people to pull up on stage, and what songs other than Longview, East Jesus Nowhere, and Knowledge do they do that for?

6. Can we bring signs? Cuz I have a really great idea for one: "Knowledge" is Power! (feel free to steal this)

7. Is there any way to meet the band before or after the concert? Not gonna lie, but Green Day is one of a very few bands I'd like to meet (others are Bowling for Soup and the E Street Band).

1. If the show starts at 7:00 PM you should get there at least around 1:00 PM.

3. Nope but most GDC'ers will usually know the setlist based on prior shows.

4. Sometimes

6. Yes

7. Yes, talk to the security guards at the gates and try to make friends with them. I've seen it work for people before. But remember it's not guaranteed though.

Hi there! Welcome to the forum. With more exploring around the place, you'll be sure to find the answers you're looking for. But for now, I'll answer your questions as best I can, lock this up, and encourage you to have a look around.

1. It depends on the place, really. Sometimes don't have to show up until noon, sometimes have to arrive 3 days prior to the show. Plus, you could always just mosh your way to the front.

2. I remember them selling hoodies, tour programs, fingerless gloves, cds, scarves, beanies...

3. You have to buy them. Usually around $10-$15 a pop.

4. Yes. Sporadically throughout the night. At the end of the show, Tre usually runs back out with a handful of drum sticks to toss into the crowd as well.

5. This is a big debate that's definitely been discussed before on this forum. For now, it's usually just whoever catches Billie's attention, for whatever reason that may be. Songs they've pulled people up for in the past were: 21st Century Breakdown, Longview, King For A Day, East Jesus Nowhere, Knowledge, Know Your Enemy and Are We The Waiting.

6. Yes, as long as they're not 42 feet tall and obnoxious. I've seen people use pillow cases, or just regular cardboard. I write on my arms.

7. It's all by chance. There's really no way to guarantee this one, sorry.

Happy posting! Hope this helped a bit :)
