This is a guitar I made for Dawn Wilcox, founder of Green Day Across the World. I remember when Dawn e-mailed me pictures of Billie signing my guitar last year when she was collecting memorabilia to sell for her foundation.

I guess the guy who ended up buying it is trying to make a little bit of a profit.

Although I stand by my products, $5000 seems like a lot.

Holy shit. That's a lot.

And let's not forget the extra $125 shipping fee. :ermm:

If you want a replica, make it yourself, so much more bad ass, and you get a closer attachment to it when you've made work on it :3

+ it's no way in hell it's worth 5000$. The signature is probably false, and if it isn't it's not cool to have bought it, Billie didn't sign it for YOU.. xD

No, the signature is real. I have all the pictures Dawn sent me with Billie Joe signing it. It's the same guitar too because you can see how yellow the stickers got from all the cigarette smoke at Dawn's house.

And yes, $125 is ridiculous for shipping. The most I've ever had to pay for shipping within the United States is $45.

Yes, saw that too. the price was too high

I'd love a signed replica, but 5k is just stupid.

OMG 5K? for a guitar? umad!

Trying to make a little profit is an understatement! I really hope it doesn't sell. I think your guitars are awesome, but that guys is clearly just trying to make a ton of money off Green Day fans for something he bought for charity.

Do you know what he originally paid, Jet? Just curious...

Holy shit. 5,000? That's stupid

It's reasonable that the guy wanted to get back his money when he saw that the "charity" to whom he gave his money wasn't really such. But 5,000 is really over the top.

That's indeed a lot!

Yeah it went for just over $1000.

"Winner will also receive additional photos of Billie with guitar."

Hahaha, less of a winner, more of a gullible idiot.

I don't think you can call it a Certificate of Authenticity if it's been signed by a known fraud.

Yes, I have almost an entire chapter in my Green Day stories book dedicated to her...

This is ridiculously over priced, you can by guitars that are gonna sound a million times better than that for a lot less! Also it has a single coil pickup at the Bridge end, Billie uses a Humbucker, so its not gonna sound so much like him as for the signature, well i doubt its a genuine Billie Joe signature.

:o I don't think people will buy it!

I hope that no one buys it just because it'd be a waste of their money, you do a great job making the replica, but just because Billie has scribbled on it it shouldn't suddenly be worth $5000.

As much as it'd be ace to own I don't feel autographs really mean that much unless you've gone and got them yourself.

Wow. What a price tag... And its sad that some one will most likely buy it for that...

And dawn wilcox - man do I have a beef with that woman....
