jetsrule128 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 so one of my favorite bands of the 90's are going on tour this summer (besides green day of course)but i found out only 2 of the 5 original members are going on tour... they got 2 24 year olds to replace the bass player and drummer.. i am in the middle about it i have seen youtubes of the new guys and the band playing together and they give the songs a fresh sound. but still i would love the original guys to all go on tour together so how would you react if 2 24 year olds replaced mike and tre?
HeißblütigerPinguin Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 na, wouldn't be the same. Guess, I'd still go to see them. but since it's 2 outa 3 it would be different act almost. I mean, bands change people "all the time" but 66,6% is much
solongfromthestars Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Well, I'd be really disappointed. I'd still listen to them and go see them (if they remained as good) but it'd be like seeing a different band. It wouldn't be Green Day.
classof12 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 They won't be GD anymore...even if Al Sobrante replaced Tré, they'd stop being GD.
Lindsay Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I don't imagine this happening because it's not going to happen, as Billie said "no one is leaving this band unless it's in a coffin." But yeah, I would be disappointed, because it just wouldn't quite be the same anymore.
Silent Duck Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 It would be cool because I could totally relate to guys who are more my age. <3
Forever Now Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 It wouldn't be the same with one without the other with Green Day, I could never see it happening.
captain peroxide Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 We really don't need a thread for this. You can post hypotheticals in the "What If Green Day" thread, if you must.
