Hermione Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Welcome to another round of voting in our contest to find the (second) best Green Day song ever. Last week was a bit of a close one, but in the end Favourite Son triumphed with 33 votes, leaving Cigarettes And Valentines and When It's Time in joint second place with 27 votes each. This week a rather strange new wave 6 piece with a penchant for wearing masks and PVC has hijacked the contest! Although they're not Green Day in any way shape or form , they've demanded that their album Money Money 2020 should be included. And who are we to argue with them? So indulge yourself in listening to some Network goodness and pick your favourite song!
Lindsay Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Who the fuck are The Network? I thought this was suppose to be voting for the best song by Green Day, dammit. Definitely Money Money 2020. So catchy.
ghesboro Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I don't like The Network, but Right Hand-a-Rama is nice. So I'm voting for Spike. Oh baby baby it's nonsense time!
Disapperingirl Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 The Network and no Foxboro Hot Tubs??? Well this is interesting, in this album there are songs that I can't stand and others that I think are genius. Roshambo
Hermione Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Supermodel Robots or Right Hand-a-Rama? Decisions decisions. The Network and no Foxboro Hot Tubs??? Next week
Harry Potter. Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I voted for Money Money 2020. Even though i'm not a huge fan of The Network.
Disapperingirl Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Supermodel Robots or Right Hand-a-Rama? Decisions decisions. Next week YES thank you Also, those two songs you mentioned are in my top 3 of The Network! But Roshambo won
Anipnk Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I really love The Network, but it is a shame that my country can not buy their records in stores
Florence Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 FOR THE LAST TIME: GREEN DAY ARE NOT THE NETWORK! :angry
E!!i Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I really love The Network, but it is a shame that my country can not buy their records in stores mine not as well, bought it through the internet FOR THE LAST TIME: GREEN DAY ARE NOT THE NETWORK! :angry but they try to imitate them in a freaky way
WestboundSign! Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I don't like all of their songs, but I love Roshambo with all my heart. So it should be obvious which song got my vote
Sweet Armataged Chump Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Green Day is The Network. You can tell it's Billies voice in Spike (sarcasm). I vote Roshambo.
Hedwig Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I have to admit that I don't like the Network. They sound too techno-ish. I have, in fact, not even hear all of the songs above. I kind of like Roshambo though, so my vote goes to that song.
BringMoreKnives Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Green Day is The Network. You can tell it's Billies voice in Spike. I vote Roshambo. I picked Roshambo

Scarlett93 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Roshambo is one of the best, the lyrics are awesome, but also transistors gone wild has amazing lyrics
ltrbmb17 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 i don't like The Network. Maybe except Spike... because of BJ's voice
zzolie the Redundant Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Spike and Right Hand-a-Rama are my favourites Is Roshambo going to dominate this poll like J.A.R. did?
littlegirl-of-suburbia Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Hmm I like roshambo the most because I like the way music is kind of distorted
PaulS Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Ahhh, I still remember when we got to hear our first hint of The Network, when they had a small sample of Supermodel Robots on their website. It sounded so upbeat after the more acoustic Warning that preceded it, which only made it more exciting. The album is a bit humdrum in places, but a fun side project all the same. Great 'Teenagers from Mars' cover at the end too, which lives on in the Foxboro live shows. Of their original songs, Roshambo is the best for just being this dark, brooding slice of Green Day-inspired pop-punk. The aforementioned Supermodel is up there too, and stands up really well nearly a decade on. I've been operating under the delusion for the past 10 years that Hammer of the Gods was a cover, but - having just checked - it appears to be an original. Who doesn't dig that song? Mike lead vocal + the final "Do you feeeelll... the hammer of the GODS?" = love.
gmcloughlin Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Not a huge fan of the Network, but I do love Roshambo
JellyTime Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Supermodel Robots is awesome, cause it has police siren in it
