Jaymee!! Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 It looks like someone just taped everything and transferred it over to DVD and it's being sold as a bootleg. Pretty shoddy, not worth $118 in my opinion.
Katarina. Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Looks fake to me. Not worth so much money anway. Can't you get most if not all those videos from GD torrent?
Bundita Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I would agree with Jaymee. It seems like a bootleg. Green Day has never officially released a dvd collection like this yet and all the contents look like they are videos you can find on Youtube or download from Megaupload (before it closed). I think that it isn't worth the price and the quality.
Forever Now Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 For $118 I wouldn't buy,i was at the mall and saw a GD dvd box set at f.y.e for only 30 bucks, it's not official or anything but it's great.
ThibautDookie Posted March 31, 2012 Author Posted March 31, 2012 I have all of them, seriously. The music video collection and tv archives 1994-2010. I don't recommend them, and yeah they would be considered bootlegs. There is some cool stuff you can't find anywhere else, but not all that much. The quality is not outstanding either, and most don't have proper main menus or chapters. I think that i am only going to buy the three first volumes, because it's the best era of Green Day 1993-2001 How long did it take for you to receive the dvd's ?
Sleeper Agent. Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 i would agree that it could be fake, not worth $120 to find out though
ThibautDookie Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 I am going to buy it anyway, but not all the dvd's only the first three volumes. I will give my review of those dvd's when i will receive them
Jet Taman Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Hey all, Thanks to this post, I went ahead and bought the first 3 volumes of the TV archives at www.MusicVideoResource.com and allow me to tell you what I think... Back in 1994, I was a college freshman and we constantly had MTV on. I always had my remote control for my VCR in hand to hit REC when ANYTHING Green Day came on...commercials, interviews, videos, live performances, even brief mentions. Through many dorm rooms, apartments, and houses, somehow I lost that VHS tape. This was all priceless stuff...stuff you couldn't find on YouTube and anything you could find on YouTube was usually grainy and too small to really see. This website miraculously had EVERY SINGLE thing I had recorded and even stuff I had somehow missed. I couldn't believe all the things I had remembered by heart..all the quotes of Billie Joe, the song order in concerts, etc. I can't say that this is an "official" DVD put out by Green Day, but I can say that if you want to see some footage that you haven't seen, this is the place to get it. The video quality is surprisingly good, It's not "HD", but there was no "HD" in 1994, but it's definitely not grainy. It's as clear as it could possibly be. As owner of BJGuitars.com (maker of Blue Replicas), I am NOT acting as a "paid endorsement" by this website. I paid my cash for these 3 DVD's, and I can honestly say it was worth every penny. When I lost that VHS tape, it made me sick to think of all the things I had lost,--things that I could never really see again. This website was the cure. I definitely recommend it to any Green Day fan.
