Jet Taman Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Hey does anyone remember who has opened up for Green Day in the past? I'm talking WAY past like the Dookie tour, Insomniac tour, and Nimrod tour. I know Pansy Division was one of two opening bands at the Dookie tour, but I'm not sure if the Riverdales were Dookie or Insomniac. Anyone remember? Anyone been born yet?
Bundita Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I heard that Screeching Weasel played with Green Day at 2 shows in 1991-1992. I'm not sure about openers though
Elena Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 i know that a german band called "Die Toten Hosen" played as an opening band on 4 concerts in Canada and the USA...I think at the Dookie tour, but I'm not sure about that
~ Walking Contradiction Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Riverdales opened for them in '95, during the European tour...it was still the Dookie tour but they played some news songs too. Then they returned to Europe in 1996, and this time Mr T Experience opened for them
ghesboro Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Pansy Division opened for them during the US Dookie tour in '94
July21 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 i know that a german band called "Die Toten Hosen" played as an opening band on 4 concerts in Canada and the USA...I think at the Dookie tour, but I'm not sure about that you're right, it's also mentioned on wikipedia!
PleasedToMeetMe Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I believe The Living End was the opening act at some point during the Insomniac tour.
Jet Taman Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Die Toten Hosen is the band I couldnt think of. They opened up for Green Day with Pansy Division during the Dookie tour. Thanks!
