Jet Taman Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Last night after one of my gigs, I relaxed by watching Green Day at Woodstock 94. I was at that show and I have probably watched this concert about 7 million times since 1994. Towards the end of the infamous mudfight where people were rushing the stage and getting tackled by security during Paper Lanterns a kid, probably 11 years old or so runs across stage, gives Billie a hug and keeps running, but Billie goes after him, brings him back to center stage and has the kid say "you gotta fight for your right to paaaaarrrrty!" then gives him a high five and says, "Future idiot!" I'd love to know where that kid is right now and if he still listens to Green Day and the impact that moment had on him. Anybody have any idea? I'd also love to know who has the microphone Billie tossed out into the crowd.
Sarcasm Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 That microphone is probably in a dumpster somewhere. Green Day was new, they didn't have a huge fanbase who collected their stuff as prized possesions. That's what I think
Jet Taman Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvk4otHWLaQ Future idiot at 5:55... and microphone toss at 4:30 How fucking legendary would that be though to have kept that microphone???
Fuzz Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 holy shit! thats me im the kid in there!!!!!! AHHH YOU WERE -7 YEARS OLD!
InvaderPhantom Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 SARCASM!!!! XDDD I don't know you, but I think I hate you.
RAGE Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I don't know you, but I think I hate you. wtf why?!
Hermione Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I'd like to know too. Idiot or not I'm sure he must remember being chased down and carried on stage by Billie Joe during the world's biggest mudfight as an awesome experience. I don't know you, but I think I hate you. He's 11 give him a break.
~ Walking Contradiction Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I often wonder if the people Green Day pulled up on stage during the years still listen to them or if they still have the instruments Billie gave them (during Knowledge, for example)...hope so, it must be an awesome experience and I think it's quite hard to forget such a wonderful memory related to the band
Hedwig Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Imagine how much that mud would have went for if the mud fight would have happened today
classof12 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I was born that year, so is obviously not me XD, but I'd love to know if that "future idiot" stills being a GD fan
Jet Taman Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Imagine how much that mud would have went for if the mud fight would have happened today I do remember people scooping up mud with plastic cups and selling them for $5. I didn't purchase a cup as I had about 10 pounds of mud on my clothes, shoes, and all over my body...
whitechristmas Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I love how Billie calls him a future idiot, and he probably had no clue that ten years later they'd release an album called American Idiot. It's almost like fate!
whitechristmas Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 You remind me of Koolkev He's just koolkev in disguise.
beejeezee Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 holy shit! thats me im the kid in there!!!!!! If you really are 11 then you wouldn't have been born yet dumbass. You remind me of Koolkev Except KoolKev is cool.
Hermione Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I do remember people scooping up mud with plastic cups and selling them for $5. I didn't purchase a cup as I had about 10 pounds of mud on my clothes, shoes, and all over my body... Haha that's amazing! Wonder if anyone still has their cup of dried mud. If you really are 11 then you wouldn't have been born yet dumbass. Except KoolKev is cool. He already made clear that he was joking. Picking on 11 year olds isn't cool so stop it now please.
beejeezee Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 He already made clear that he was joking. Picking on 11 year olds isn't cool so stop it now please. It's a very stupid joke.
Hermione Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 It's a very stupid joke. I just told you to stop. This discussion is over, get back to the topic of the thread.
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I actually live near where Woodstock was held. I was only at the time, but my father was there. No idea who the kis was, but I always love making my dad tell me about it. He always tells me how funny it is that years later, I got so into THAT band, and if I would have been older, or he had any way of knowing... he'd have brought me. Or taken pictures of Green Day. He says a lot of the mud was actually mixed with shit, because during the fight... people started knocking over the portopotties. Its all I can think of when Billie puts the mud in his mouth and when he calls it shit. It actually was.

Yeah, the portapotties were overflowing by Saturday afternoon (Green Day played Sunday afternoon) and I know I certainly donated my share of dookie in that mud.
greendaytodeathandback Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 It would be pretty cool to know whether or not they still were a fan or not, I'm pretty sure it wasn't me though, however much I wish it was Maybe someone on here will know them and we will know the identity of the Future Idiot and his current Green Day staus
StuckWithRob Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I love how Billie calls him a future idiot, and he probably had no clue that ten years later they'd release an album called American Idiot. It's almost like fate! Yeah, in 1994 they also once said their new album was a rock opera called 'Jimmy'. Weird or what?
Sarcasm Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 wtf why?! Know your Green Day reference! xD it's a quote from the 1994 song "Chump"
