It's been very long since they did the last one, which wasn't nearly as good as this one. But then again, it's only for US residents. I mean, seriously? That sucks. It's not like that it would make a difference to send your ideas from somewhere else in the world.

(Only a 'portion' of the proceeds go to charity) The argument could be made that you're getting paid by getting 5 free shirts (let's say that comes out to about $100) plus lifetime membership to the Idiot Club (let's say that means 5-10 years (or more), at $20/year). And of course bragging rights. I think it's a contest for fun and a chance to give their community an opportunity to be apart of something with Green Day. I doubt they're really hurting at a chance for proper designers to do something for them or that they're hurting for the cash.
