Sarcasm Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 We're all fans of Green Day, no doubt. I'm getting my tattoo as soon as I have the money and the muscle. But on each album, theres always this one song you're always skipping. American Idiot being the obvious exception, most of the other albums have one or two tracks I really never gotten the hottes for. Just copy my list, ot make it less gigantic if you'd like. Write the name of the song and a teeny, tiny description. I'm making a list, much like the list of the thread going on right now that's the exact opposite of this. 39/smooth: - 1000 Hours. This was mine and my very longtime gf's song. Too bad it's a soup of cliches and cheap lines. And the guitar in the beginning is just noise to me. Kerplunk - Sweet Children. Not only isn't it catchy, it's blurred and basically the same song as Best Thing in Town. Only he's singing about themselves instead of a girl he never got it on with. Dookie - Chump. The long and dragged out ending ruins an otherwise awesome song! Insomniac (Jesus Christ Supermarked if Billie could choose today [source; rouck sound]) - Tightwad Hlll. I never got hooked on this, I just don't get the feeling.. :/ Nimrod - All the Time. Reminds me of being bulllied in junior high. That was a fucked up time. Warning - Jackass. It's catchy, and I like it. But I don't like it as much as everything else on the album. Shenanigans - Espionage. Spy music. Really? It's cool on Austin Powers, but I feel like I have heard it before. American Idiot - Extraordinary Girl. The long beginning and crybaby attitude. It's kinda slow too, I wished it was more fast paced. But then again, it wouldn't be the same. 21st Century Breakdown - It stands between See the Light and Static Age. Both are the same all the way, and static age seems like it lasts forever! See the light isn't catchy. That's it. I never liked it much. So that's my list of guilty dislikes. Hopes this doesn't get deleted for being a listing thread. Kerplunk - Strangeland. Same, hate the way he sings it. Dookie - none Insomniac - none Nimrod - Last Ride In. Sometimes I'll listen to it, but usually it's jsut meh. Warning - none ISH - none Shenanigans - none American Idiot - none 21CB - See The Light, but only sometimes. If the guitar in the song wasn't the same as 21CB, I'd probably like it more.

Kerplunk - I can't get that excited about Sweet Children. Dookie - There's ones I don't like quite as much but not one in particular I don't listen to. Insomniac - Tight Wad Hill doesn't give me eargasms or anything. It's ok though. Nimrod - I guess I don't always listen to Last Ride In, but there's nothing wrong with it. I'd just rather listen to a different song. There's definitely times when it's a good listen though. Warning - Same thing I said about Dookie, there's a few I don't get quite as omg eargasm about but not one I seriously dislike. American Idiot - I don't love Extraordinary Girl. It was beautiful acoustic live though. 21CB - I like See the Light but it's depressing so I don't listen to it

I just find it really not interesting as a song. I am displeased of this because this was the first song that BJ wrote, but apparently he was too unexpert so he wrote a not-so-good song. Kerplunk - Sweet Children. It's not that I hate it or whatever, it's just that it's my least favorite, I love too much Kerplunk to have a song that I can't stand in it. Dookie - Chump. "The long and dragged out ending ruins an otherwise awesome song!" I had to keep what you wrote. OR - Sassafras Roots. It's just too repetitive, y'know, always "wasting your time". I feel like wasting my time while listening to that song. Insomniac - Panic Song. No doubt about it. I feel that long intro is just pointless, it ruins the rest of the song to me. Nimrod - Last Ride In. I don't like instrumental songs so much. Warning - Blood, Sex and Booze. I don't hate it, it's my least favorite and I had to choose one. Shenanigans - Espionage. I never really liked Take Back for example or Strangeland. And I never got into Extraordinary Girl. But I think every song has something special and I wouldn't change them if I could

Actually, i take that back, i love horseshoes and handgrenades. But every other album i love from begining to the end

I usually skip the first third of 21CB, but I've ended up listening to the next two bits more than the whole of AI.

I don't know why, but I have never warmed up to this song, I just don't like it very much. The lyrics may be good (I don't know, don't listen to it), but I just don't like it. Shenanigans: I Wanna Be On TV. I don't like it. It's a cover though so does it count as a Green Day song? AI: sometimes Extraordinary Girl. I only like it when I'm in the mood for it. 21CB: Christian's Inferno. The chorus is catchy, but I don't like the song that much.

Even with the few that I like a significant amount less than the rest and wouldn't mind skipping (I Want To Be Alone, My Generation, Android, Macy's Day Parade, Ha Ha You're Dead).............I still listen to them . First because there's still some things about them I like (there's definitely none I "can't stand"), and second for the greater good of listening to the album! I love listening to their albums exactly the way they were put together and I can't be cutting things out of them. Oh but I skip the whole AI Musical album, if that counts

And this is just boring and unemotional. Kerplunk - Strangeland. Useless song, the lyrics are too dreary. Insomniac - Bab's Uvula Who?. Not quite sure what's wrong with this one, I just don't like it. Nimrod - Last Ride In. Why did they put this boring instrumental on this amazing album which is full of energy?! Still don't get it, probably my least favourite Green Day song. Warning - Misery. Meh. American Idiot - Extraordinary Girl. The general idea of this song is good, but it's way too slow and I don't like the standard drum beat throughout the whole song. 21st Century Breakdown - Last Night On Earth. That was difficult since there are lots of songs on 21stCB I dislike, but Last Night On Earth might be their most boring song (except Last Ride In) ever...

It's absolutely my fave song from 21stCntrybrkdwn. *shakes head* I just don't understand what you guys can hate about it! Also, I love "She's a Rebel"... I don't find it boring. All in all, I don't HATE GD stuff, more like I'll skip certain songs depending on my mood.
