Okay. So i didn't watch this on TV, but i watched it live from the new years bash.

Anyway. They started with boulevard of broken dreams, but only 1 verse, then they transitioned into the second verse of holiday but instead of going to the bridge they stopped and sang the last two lines of good riddance. They were literally only given 3 minutes of time in the stage. Their performance was good, but it didn't do the musical justice (understandably given the circumstances)

Awesome! Thank you so much!

It´s interesting to hear the voices of the new cast.

Really interesting to watch this! It's exactly the same arrangement of the medley that was played last New Year's Eve in NYC for the Carson Daly NY Eve show. Wallace had posted a link to last year's performance on his FB yesterday, so it was cool to compare the two performances one after the other and see the actors that are now playing the characters.

That guy playing Will is nowhere as cute as Esper, sorry!

heh, exactly like the one from NY but with different faces and no BCJ's gravelly voice. Still, awesome none-the-less :D

I know. He was so much cuter.

By the way, the guy who sings "Another protester has crossed the line" replaced Theo Stockman. No one can replace Theo :angry He's perfect I tell you. PERFECT! Okay I'm ranting. In short, Theo rocks and I love him.:lol:

Its gonna be so weird with new cast members. I know the original cast has to move on and go on to other things, as is done in theater, but it still makes me sad. I don't like change and in my mind, I don't know how the new guys are gonna live up to the originals. They have some big shoes to fill.

I dunno you guys. I've never seen any videos or anything from the original cast, but I know that this cast was pretty damn good. And I bet that if I saw stuff from the original cast now, I would think think that the touring cast was better.

That TV performance was awesome! I wouldn't hesitate to say they're better than the OBC if they are, ya know? I'm flexible. Better is subjective anyway, because in all likelihood they're just 'different'. I still think Van makes a better Johnny, even though I looooooooove JG Jr. so much. I think Van has a better voice for it.

I was sad at first when I realized that I wasnt going to see the original (amazing) cast when the musical came to Detroit. But seeing this, I had a total change of mind. Sure the original cast was just phenomanal, but these guys are also very talented (maybe just as good). It made me even more excited for the show
