Last night, At the last minute Green Day Oakland show 360 video technology for the iPhone 4 and 4s was captured. It’s an attachment called Dot made by Kogeto where you’re able to video record everything in the round. Now I know this might be hard to grasp but when you click play on these videos, move your mouse to the right or left as the video plays. You’ll be able to get a 360 view of the show.

So I click play and all of a sudden hear Billie moaning

Not something I wanted my mom to hear though . . . .

I must say, that's pretty fucking awesome.

the technology and the idea are awesome, but damn with that so shitty camera i can't even understand where's the stage in those videos. and the picture looks like from fisheye...

DON'T YOU DARE TAKE THE NAME OF TEXAS IN VAIN.

On topic, I seriously want to learn how to do this. I may not be a fan of Apple, but damn, they have some good ideas. :o

a simple photo collab: on tripod turning camera and taking pictures. then with some image editing program make one from them.

and for video stuff - this is a "program" for only apple. sad that apple has bad cameras.

i hate apple. and their production.

That's interesting! Though the quality leaves a lot to be desired...

The idea is great anyway- and to see/hear another live performance of Hitchin' a Ride is always good... :whistle

That looks awful

The idea isn't bad, but I'm not interested in a 360 view video since I'd only like to see the band perform.

Aha, this is a great idea! I think they've chosen the worst place for a 360 shot though. It should've been in the middle of the stage or right in front of it, so you can actually see what's going on.

Posted

Although quality is not so good, it's a nice idea.

Posted

That was trippy, wish it was better quality

....And Why would we wanna see behind the camera?

Its like just the crowd :P

Wow that was such shitty quality!

Haha I agree!! :)

I'm pretty sure the quality would look alot better if you we're recording something closer

Finally not the only person to be more interested in that!

Hey guys! Sorry for the bad quality. It's actually pretty awesome if you have the camera a lot closer. We added Green Day to our concert with only and hour's notice due to Jane's Addiction canceling. Luckily for our radio station, all 3 guys were in town and live only 10 minutes away. Next time, I'll have a better setup and the quality will be much better. For now check out all the cool stuff we captures, photos, video, etc from this amazing night at http://live105.com/nssn

it was cool, but i was trying to locate where Billie Joe was in the video :D

I was confused because it looked like a tree on the end :) but the idea was awesome

Also, my volume was turned up really loud from a power point presentation a couple hours before, so when i clicked on the video, everbody in my house heard Billie's moaning
