KilljoyFromDetroit Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 When ever I hear that Green Day is playing another "secret" show, I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside… not sure if thats normal
BJA TC MD Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 holy crap... thats an amazing line up. what i wouldnt give... oh and Green Day from 10:30 to 11:10? haha yeah right, good luck getting them off the stage I reckon Green Day could go heaps later than 11:10. That's early!!
beejeezee Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 thank you i have a little obsession with balloons haha Totally off-topic but balloons are amazing . . . .
deadair Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 This isn't a "secret show" by any means. Oracle Arena, Guns N Roses played there in 2006! This is huge, plus first hometown gig since 2009. I am so glad Green Day replaced Jane's Addiction on this NSSN, because if it weren't for them, this year would be a total shit lineup. Not dissing NSSN by any means, in 2009 they had an incredible lineup: Muse, AFI, and 30 Seconds To Mars! In 2010 they had Smashing Pumpkins and My Chemical Romance, two bands who I am a fan of. Just to sum it up, for NSSN 2011 thank god for Green Day!
Satan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Totally off-topic but balloons are amazing . . . . that is completely relevant in any conversation balloons are the best thing that has ever been created.
pasalaska Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 40 minutes for a headliner? What is this bullshit?
deadair Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 40 minutes for a headliner? What is this bullshit? THIS. that's probably a total of only 6-8 songs. If they play any song tonight, I hope it's Before The Lobotomy. I don't know why I think that, but it just feels right in this holiday season. Not that I'm in California, I've never been there lol.
lizziebix Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 According to the schedule, Mumford and Florence get more time than the headliner. Odd that. Wonder if they changed the times when they changed the headliner? But Green Day can easily play a long set on short notice, so I wonder why only 40 minutes too?
Laura! Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I have a feeling Green Day will ignore the set time and play longer.
CrimsonRegret Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 OMG!!! How did I NOT know this?! I live literally 4 miles away - That's a ten minute drive! 30 mins on public transportation! Not that I could have afforded ir anyways.... Never been to NSSN before. Always wanted to.. but yea....... I can NOT believe this!
Satan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I have a feeling Green Day will ignore the set time and play longer. honestly, that's basically a fact
Zelda Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Green Day performing for only 40 minutes? That's a good one.
Satan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 OMG!!! How did I NOT know this?! I live literally 4 miles away - That's a ten minute drive! 30 mins on public transportation! Not that I could have afforded ir anyways.... Never been to NSSN before. Always wanted to.. but yea....... I can NOT believe this! i'm sure you can still get tickets, and green day isn't on until 10:30, i think you should go for it!

GDLoT Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 WOW! O.O VIA jimthecritic Jim Harrington twitter~~~ No. @live105 sources say @greenday will play #dookie in its entirety at #nssn.
luvgirlcl Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 WOW! O.O VIA jimthecritic Jim Harrington twitter~~~ No. @live105 sources say @greenday will play #dookie in its entirety at #nssn. If this turns out to be true, I'll cry like crazy. Seriously.
Mozzabillie Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I live about 1.5 miles from this but the last time I was in the nose bleed section to see Green Day, I said that I would never do that again! It was disappointing. (Yes, I am spoiled!) I'm surprised that this wasn't sold out to begin with. Two years ago when AFI and Muse were there, it sold out within a few hours. I also said then that I would never go to that event again with such short set times. I was on the floor for that event and it just wasn't worth the money for the short set times. Also, if tickets are only at the door since this afternoon, how are people saying they are getting tickets before they get there?

deadair Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 If this turns out to be true, I'll cry like crazy. Seriously. Yeah me too (well maybe not cry, more like pull my hair out), I just want to see Pulling Teeth live in electric form. Hopefully if they do it someone will actually film it in good quality. With my luck all the cell phones/cameras will be filming Longview, Basket Case, and When I Come Around.
okotavio Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 WOW! O.O VIA jimthecritic Jim Harrington twitter~~~ No. @live105 sources say @greenday will play #dookie in its entirety at #nssn. AWESOME! but on the other hand sad since there won't be any new song
Satan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 interesting choice. I approve. i hope they play all by myself
BJA TC MD Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 If they do play Dookie, it will be really cool. There better be videos
