greendaytone Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 From GDA: In association with SOTB (South Of The Border) and us here at The Green Day Authority, we present: "Everything Kerplunk" - a 20th Anniversary celebration of Green Day's 1992 pre-major breakthrough album, Kerplunk. The event is being held at The Gopher Hole in London, England on Friday 20th January 2012. What can you expect? This is from "Everything Sucks" nightclub: We are super excited for this party as we are all huge fans of Green Day here at Everything Sucks Club. Come celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Green Day's classic album Kerplunk! We will be playing all songs off the album throughout the night and various other Green Day hits. There will also be some Green Day giveaways and special guest DJ appearances on the night! It promises to be a special night! Also, if you're in London around Xmas time, SOTB are holding an "Everything Sucks" Christmas weekender on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December. Tre_Gina Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 This sounds awesome! Could well be worth a train ride to london for the weekend...would be great to get loadsa GDCers there.
greendaytone Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 I'd suggest getting your tickets early if you can make it!
gmcloughlin Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I'd love to be there, but I'm gonna be in London in early January and I can't really justify a second trip so soon Should be a great night though
norcalgreendayfan Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Oh if only I had a way to go to this.
pasalaska Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 It's tempting, but it's also $800. So unless I find $800 on the street, probably no
Fuzz Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 This sounds awesome! Could well be worth a train ride to london for the weekend...would be great to get loadsa GDCers there. That's the plan. I'm pretty sure I can't go because that's the first week of school, and my first week back at trying not to be a fuck-up, but haven't ruled it out entirely just because I think it's such an awesome idea.
Amanda Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 That's the plan. If you don't come I'm gonna kidnap Tony and hold him hostage in my shed.
Fuzz Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 If you don't come I'm gonna kidnap Tony and hold him hostage in my shed. Jokes on you. Tony loves the shed.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I think that's great! I'm not in London though, and it's two months before I turn 18... so it's not gonna happen either way.
Katarina. Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Awesome idea! If I had the chance/money to go to London, I'd definitely go to that event!
norcalgreendayfan Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 It's tempting, but it's also $800. So unless I find $800 on the street, probably no Yeah if I manage to come in to some extra cash by some miracle I would go as that is not likely to happen doubtful I'd make it.
Disapperingirl Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 That's a great idea!! A celebrating event full of Green Day fans in London, wow Why am I going to London in middle March and not in January, why?? ...but I wouldn't be 18 anyway
stuart_and_the_ave Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 This is a great idea, going to buy my ticket soon
greendaytone Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 DJ greendaytone might be making an appearance 8)
beejeezee Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Lucky brits are finally getting something.
LittleBoyNamedTrain Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I would absolutely love to attend this, it sounds brilliant! But unfortunately I live miles from London...and I'm three years under the age limit. Damn nightclubs!
Harriet Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I reckon I should be able to get to this, hope to see lots of you guys there
redconverses Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 This sounds like it's going to be amazing, but it's still another year until I turn 18 unfortunately...
Tubbie Head Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Wow so awesome! I wish I could be there
alaniluau Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 What a brilliant idea! Though I won't be physically present, I'll be blasting Kerplunk so loudly in California that you might just hear it in London. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
