greendaytone Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 This has been brought up for before i think, but i don't think there's a thread for it. There's quite a few Green Day songs that could fit well on other albums, in some cases perhaps better. I was thinking today that F.O.D would fit quite well on Insomniac. It's got a similar message to some songs on that album. Any more for any more?
PasalacquaBomb Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I agree on the fact about F.O.D. It has this angry attitude all the songs on Insomniac have, too. I also think that Maria would easily fit on nimrod while songs like Worry Rock or Uptight could be on American Idiot (just musical, not lyrical), too.
Alan86 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Platypus (I hate you) would easily fit on Insomniac yet its still perfect on Nimrod. and i've always thought Walking Alone would have been much more at home on Warning
Disapperingirl Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I remember when we discussed Reject a lot of people said that it could have fit with the Insomniac "rage" There are some more that i can't remember, I'll write them later
LMC Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 1,039/Smooth and Kerplunk are quite similar in style, so I guess you could swap pretty much any track from one album to the other.
Satan Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 misery could fit on 21st century breakdown, and walking contradiction could fit on warning or nimrod.
greendaytone Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 Welcome To Paradise would fit well on Dookie.
WestboundSign! Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I think In the End could fit on Insomniac too.
Heather. Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Ooh I totally agree about Misery going on 21st Century Breakdown I always think that Church on Sunday is on Nimrod for some reason. NGFL could easily be on Dookie. Christie Road, if it was redone with better sound, could fit nicely on Warning I think.
ScatteredPictures Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Waling Alone on Warning and Redudant also on Warning. I've always had trouble remembering whether it's on Nimrod or Warning. Same was with Hitchin' A Ride. Before buying the whole Nimrod I was absolutely sure that it was on Insomniac.
burnout409 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 A few i can think of would be "Walking Alone" and "Prosthetic Head" on "Warning", "American Eulogy" on "American Idiot" and "Take Back" and "Platypus" on "Insomniac" but i still think they work really well on the albums they are on
heart on a noose Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Hmm,maybe nice guys finish last on Dookie.
classof12 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I don't know, but I think "Good Riddance (time of your life)" should go at the end of Nimrod
PleasedToMeetMe Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Haushinka on Kerplunk Going to Pasalacqua, Paper Lanterns and 409 in your Coffee Maker on Dookie
Nobody Likes Cam Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 American Eulogy on American Idiot, Wake Me Up When September Ends on Warning, Maria on Dookie and Chump on Insomniac.
KilljoyFromDetroit Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Ive always thought that Walking Contradictio. Should be on Nimrod, and i also think that Take Back would sound better on Insomniac. Going to Pasalacqua should be on Dookie
Marlee Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Peacemaker could have been with Misery on Warning edit:I don't mean them together, but just like on the same album...
drugstore hooligan Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 I know its an american idiot bside but Shoplifter could have easily been on Warning.
Rage & Love. Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Christians Inferno should be on Money Money 2020
