Oh my God... That really would be awesome! :woot:

i agree sooo awesome! But where would it be if there was such a thing? there are GD fans all over the world, so where could it be?

Yeah, it would be so very awesome. Seeing stuff old or rare that we've never seen before, and buying all kind of stuff you want! :runaround: I need a GD cup

But wouldn't it be better a Green Day museum...? :whistle

Lets organise one :P

This is more purely speculation so it's not an actual meet-up... so I'll leave this is GD chat for now.

There's never been an official 'convention', but there have been events that have drawn Green Day fans from all over the world to one place, like the Wembley Stadium gig in 2010 (though there wasn't a big meet-up as such due to there being multiple lines), and most recently the St James Theatre served as a meeting point of sorts, especially when Billie was playing St Jimmy. At his last performance in February (before he announced he was doing the final 2 weeks), there was so many GD fans from all over the world, it was awesome.

We've talked about doing some kind of nice big meetup in the bay area sometime. Bunch of Green Day just go and meet-up there for the hell of it. It's usually better to have them surrounding some Green Day event (like Aska said, shows or the musical). There's a meetup scheduled in Toronto that a bunch of people are planning to meet up for the opening night of the musical tour.

I do think it'd be fun to plan something out well in advance and try to get as many people as possible out to. Maybe we can sort something a bit bigger for the next tour.

Each tour since 2004 has had a little more organization in terms of GDC/GDA meet-up's. So, maybe by the next one we can do something even bigger than that meetup in New York earlier this year.

we shall see.

I would love to go to a meet-up or convention type thing, but all the ones that happen are at least 9,000 fucking miles away. I'm also young and poor to boot.

Any excuse to get out of Michigan works for me :D It'd be pretty cool to meet other fans from other parts of the nation/world. I'd definately be up for this!

Hmm...good question. It would probably have to be where the most Green Day fans/GDCers are.

PS - I love your sig.

If there ever is a convention, it kinda has to be in the East Bay...

just because that's Green Day mecca.

Maybe one day, when Green Day are bigger than the Beatles and Jesus put together, they're'll be an annual, officially run convention.

If there ever is, man, I'll be all over that shit. :D

A Comicon of Green Day sounds like a real nirvana man :P But I think it'd have to be one of those touring things. Comicon tours across the US, I'm pretty sure... gives people a better opportunity of showing up. It would be a lot cooler to have one giant one where everyone could meet at once but it would just be too hard to work out. :pinch:

I can see the unrealistically huge Green Day fans holding interviews about how they afford to travel and buy so much merch..

I'd love to go to one...but I don't think they're enough Green Day freaks on my island do one...anyway I'd go, wearing my Green Day T-shirt, of course :)
