XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 You can't really get that much more epic than Green Day performing in honor of Will Ferrell. "Molly Shannon, Jack Black, Green Day, Larry King, Adam McKay, Lorne Michaels, Conan O'Brien, John C. Reilly, Paul Rudd and Maya Rudolph are among performers and speakers set for this year's Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Ferrell will be the 14th recipient of the prize." http://content.usato...-will-ferrell/1 http://www.digitalsp...ibute-show.html
EvanAsFuck Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Really excited for this! Especially to see what they play. Whatever they do end up playing, Will Farrell better dig out the ol' cowbell and get his ass on stage with them again.
Margo 39 smooth Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I freakin LOVE that picture I had this kind of a little tantrum when I realized I couldn't go to this cause this is some celebrity black tie event, and like only rich people got tickets. So I'll hang around the Kennedy center that day just maybeee run into the guys ha as if. my dad mentioned possible foxboro show which I know is very unlikely but i can dream.
BringMoreKnives Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Awesome! Can't wait to watch! ...900th post
Hermione Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 So cool that they're playing! Will Ferrell though.........he's not funny. But then this is an award for American humour so
Nobody Likes Cam Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Really excited for this! Especially to see what they play. Whatever they do end up playing, Will Farrell better dig out the ol' cowbell and get his ass on stage with them again. I agree 100% with everything you just said dude
DoodleBob Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laz_rsDMiG4 Sorry, I just wanted an excuse to post the video on here. It's probably one of my favorite Green Day preformances ever. I loved it when Billie was singing the bridge and Will like like "Wait, is the song still going?" And Billie started cracking up.

Annie, get your gun Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Honestly I don't like Will Ferrell... But if Green Day is going to perform because of him, what the hell, I love this guy!
DoodleBob Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 That's probably one of he funniest GD moments ever! Agreed. That and, "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FUCKING GARDEN!" How I love Green Day. ♥
Guest EDIT Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 So they are going to be performing live? When is this thing happening?
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I'm so excited!!! It's been a while since we've seen green day on tv!! Let the "I wonders" begin! (as in "I wonder what song they'll play!"
Ashley! Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I love Will Ferrell! One of my favorite comedians, my favorite band, this will be awesome! I cant wait to see what they are going to play!
Laura! Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 It'll be awesome to see the guys performing again! I, like pretty much everyone else on here, am wondering what they might play.
GreenRanger Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 They're going to play 17 new songs of course.
lizziebix Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I'm only sad they will be airing this on Halloween night. But thank goodness for the internet because I'm sure if will be on here somewhere!
gloria123 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 sounds awesome! maybe they'll play a new song.....
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 So they are going to be performing live? When is this thing happening? October 31st on PBS.
Mar Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 They are certainly the "one of these things is not like the other" on this list. But that is not a complaint. As the Kennedy Center Honors always are, they should be flawless.
Bastard of 1967 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I'm only sad they will be airing this on Halloween night. But thank goodness for the internet because I'm sure if will be on here somewhere! Oh but that is SO what DVR is for.
lizziebix Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Oh but that is SO what DVR is for. Don't think I can convince hubby to get DVR service just for this though!
Heather. Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Kennedy Center Honors are a BIG ASS DEAL and it's so awesome that GD will be performing there. I also have to assume then that they really have befriended Will Ferrell since or before that SNL gig, because everyone else on that list of presenters are certainly close colleagues of his... I hope they don't do EJN again just because of that first experience with him... it was awesome, so I want something new now And by big deal I mean, doesn't the President usually attend this event? I believe it is in December.
norcalgreendayfan Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 wow I find this pretty awesome, I can't wait to catch Green Day's performance. I wonder what they will be playing, hopefully one of their new songs they are working on, or something rare they hardly play.
