You know whats funny, I got an email from Southwest Airlines this morning about how to get a free ticket. How they got my email I would never know. I thought about this when I read it.

:woot: it's even on some german sites !!

e.g. on my mail site: http://web.de/magazine/unterhaltung/musik/13581178-hose-zu-tief-flieger-verpasst.html

and on this one: http://www.spiegel.de/panorama/leute/0,1518,784215,00.html

(and that's a famous site)

....but it's never shown on TV :( no one pays attention there...i think they just know stars like Justin Bieber and those Disney stars -.-

(or some very famous actors). in the last time you really hear nothing about Green Day on TV. About other stars they write in the news when they are where and what they drunk on their way and whether they liked it (it's normally really some uninteresting news like that !!), but they don't say anything about that. It's weird -.-

anyways i find it hilarious that Billie got kicked off a plane for that, I mean he uses planes since many years and i'm sure he always wore his pants like that. Also i'm sure some hip hoppers have saggier pants then him -.-

and btw: the german news are either on Billie's side or just commend it, so no one says something against him and his saggy pants ;) at least from what i read

Those are more or less my feelings exactly. There are far better reasons to cause a scene on an airplanes than pants that are too low. That said, once the flight attendant tells you to pull up your pants, the correct response is to pull up your pants, not to f-bomb the flight attendant and get yourself kicked off for doing so. If you think the stewardess is out of line, take it up with customer service after the flight is over.

Yeah but the f-bomb wasn't really directed at the flight attendant. Its not like he said stop being a fucking bitch or anything of that nature, all he said more so out of irritation I suppose was that he is trying to get to his fucking seat, putting more emphasis on the seat more than anything else.

if they can kick him off of a plane than they would probably kick me off

Well, I still think badmouthing the flight attendant wasn't a smart thing to do. I doubt his pants were offensively low and that request from the flight attendant was necessary, but it's not a giant hassle to hike up your pants.

Billie Joe named 1 of 10 famous problem flyers.

Damn, someone's got a grudge against Billie

I think people are reading waaaay too much into this, billie's not stupid enough to actually refuse to pull his trousers up if there's a risk of being thrown off a plane. He probably was shocked he was being threatened with it over something so trivial, though. But yeah, I doubt he was all 'I will NOT pull my pants up because it goes against everything I believe in!!!!!' or anything.

And he was threatened with bring removed before he swore at the attendant, so there's that.

Sometimes my mum surprises me. This time not in a very good way...

I told her what happened to Billie Joe on that flight, and she said : "at his age, he goes around with saggy pants??? Doesn't his wife feel embarassed for him??"

Not a nice thing to say, no

No, of course he wasn't like that. But because it's such a trivial thing, I don't think it's smart to say something bold back instead of just pulling up your pants and being annoyed about it when the attendant left. Whether that's fair or not is another thing, but it's generally not a good idea to offend a flight attendant, no matter what it's about.

Yeah, but I doubt he was removed just because he didn't pull up his pants, the swearing was the factor that made the threat be put into action.

The puns are killing me, y'all. The comments on this news post on Sputnik Music are full of them too.

Omg...

"security can never last, wake me up when we take off again."

"The flight attendant must live on tight wad hill."

I would have been like billie too, to be honest. If they threatened to get me off the plane for something like that I would have been like "What the fuck? You're gonna kick me off for something like that?"

It is a ridiculous thing to be kicked off a plane for. And yeah I doubt his pants sagged offensively too low. I also think age does not define what or how you wear clothes, get real!

To be honest he doesn't even look his age so looking like he does, I don't think there's a problem dressing a bit younger looking than most 39 year olds.

Okay, so a bunch of people have told me about this story at work, most of them adding, "I'm so sick of hearing about it!" Then, they look at me pleadingly as if the over-coverage of someone's undercoverage is my fault. I didn't share this "story" with anyone! Not my fault!

Alice Cooper made a comment about this tonight on his radio show. He said, "Billie Joe, you are too old for this. If you were 17 I would understand. But you're not." I kind of laughed.

I wish I had a clearer idea of what kind of relationship he and Alice Cooper have :whaa: AC seemed to genuinely be a fan on those VH1 countdowns, and Billie said he wanted him to come see the musical... are they actually friends? I feel like they must be for Alice to feel like saying something about it...
