Calvin92 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Hello, I'm in film school right now, and I'm in the mood to express my Green Day fanisim by making a music video for Two Songs off of the GD's "first" album. I know every Green Day song inside and out, I even studied the american/bush days just to further understand A.I. Whatever two songs are picked from, 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours (except Knowledge, awesome song and a staple in GD's live performance's, but not a Green Day original, sorry) I'm going to edit the ends of the tracks together to give the video almost a Brain Stew/Jaded feel (two songs, one music video basically. Although each songs visual style is different). So the two most popular songs mentioned in this topic from you, the fans, will be the two songs I'll choose. Also, if you have any ideas as to, scenes, character's or certain visual styles. Feel free to speak up. If I use your idea, I'll give you a credit in the video. I plan shooting in about a months time, so think deeply about this. Thanks, Calvin92
Lina:) Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 well i think you can make a music vid out of Paper lanterns and Why do you want him ( my 2 fav songs frome 1039 msoothed out slappy hours ) it actually can be a video about that boy that is in love with that girl who only think of him a friend and she likes another guy !! well it's just an idea tell me what you think !!
AwesomeAsFudge Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Going To Pasalaqua !! and At The Library
Clockwise Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Going To Pasalaqua !! and At The Library Agreed.
Guest EDIT Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I would prefer Only of You (my favorite from 1039)
WestboundSign! Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Going to Pasalacqua and Paper Lanterns. That's what I would think
StuckWithRob Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 At the Library followed by The Judge's Daughter so you get the great intro and an obvious storyline to the first song with the faster second song with a similar theme. But Going to Pasalacqua is a great song, along with 16.
Rage & Love. Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Only of You going into Paper Lanters. indefinitelyand i spelt Lanterns wrong. YES
kristóf Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 At the Library and Only of You are beautiful songs. But i think you could make a great video from I was there. I mean, you could do it with some sad, old guy, who's sitting in a sofa, and watching the flames in the fireplace, and starts thinking about his youth. You know, the first love, first gig, having fun with friends, or things like that. And at the end, he could smile, or something... I don't know, it's just a sudden idea. Or another suggestion: Disappearing Boy. About some boy who's stalking a girl.
Monica. Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I agree with Only of You and Going to Pasalacqua!
Malleus Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 409 In Your Coffee Maker going into Green Day would be cool in a music video. Those are my two favorites from the album and I think they go well together.
DoodleBob Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 You could do 'Road to Acceptance' and then 'Disappearing Boy'. I think the theme's fit very nicley together. You could start of RTA with a boy just standing. And then maybe merge into a memory of him being bullied. Maybe at school or on a playground? Or you could center it at a 711 (Maybe to hint AI alittle bit? (: ) And then for Disappearing Boy you can show the boy venturing off from the playground, 711, school, or where ever you decided to shoot RTA into a dark alley or something. And then just show him going in and out of buildings, and no one noticing him. I don't know, just thoughts. But I think that 'Road to Acceptance' and 'Disappearing Boy' would be two good songs:)
