XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Amy Intro - D#m A#m x 2 (for the actual intro and each time the song goes back into the intro) Verse- F# A#m B C# x 2 (per verse) (make a quick transition from C# to F# before you start the chorus) Chorus - A# F# D#m (that progression once) B C# F# (that progression once) then B C# D#m once (both of the last progressions are for the "Do you want to be a friend of mine" part. You have to end on D#m for the second time because the song goes immediately back into the intro). Bridge (the "Amy please don't go" part) - F# Bm (once) then F# Bm C# (once) Great song.

XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Here are the chords for Stray Heart. It sounds really good played acoustic. Enjoy. E I've said it a thousand times G# C# And now a thousand more A E We'll never part A B I'll never stray again from you E G# C# As always you just go home to your heart A E We'll never part A B I'll never stray again from you G# C# You're all alone A B E And I'm where I belong G# C# Without a home A Am I'll hold your heart and never let go E G# Everything I want A I want from you Am But I just can't have you E G# Everything I need A I need from you Am But I just can't have you EDIT: Sorry guys, I took the time to make sure the chords corresponded correctly to the spots in the lyrics where the chords change when I was typing this, but it looks like the formatting didn't work out very well.. Oh well. Those are still the right chords for each line, they're just not spaced out properly. Sorry about that.
Bam-Itz-GreenDay Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Sorry if i sound like an idiot .. but what do the numbers mean? (Like on what looks like the strings) Sorry i am new to this kinda stuff. I am getting an electric guitar for my birthday and i wanna learn these, can someone help? it would really great. Thanks
Satan Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 ^ those are tabs, I can show you how to read them if you want. Speaking of which, are there any tabs to stray heart? Not just chords?
Bam-Itz-GreenDay Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 ^ those are tabs, I can show you how to read them if you want. Speaking of which, are there any tabs to stray heart? Not just chords? haha.. that would be great if you could xD Thanks I never thought guitar would be like reading a different language...? haha
Satan Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 haha.. that would be great if you could xD Thanks I never thought guitar would be like reading a different language...? haha Okay, so here is an example of a simple power chord: ------------------------------ ------------------------------ ------------------------------ -----------7----------------- -----------7----------------- -----------5----------------- this means on the E string (the top one) you hold the 5th fret. On the A and D strings you hold the 7th fret. The chord looks like this when played. The reason my i'm explaining you this particular shape is because you need this to play pretty much every Green Day song. For example, BOBD. |-----------------------------|----------------------------| |-----------------------------|----------------------------| |---------------8--8--8-------|-------------8--8--8--------| |---3--3--6--6--8--8--8--8--8-|-3--3--6--6--8--8--8--8--8--| |---3--3--6--6--6--6--6--8--8-|-3--3--6--6--6--6--6--8--8--| |---1--1--4--4-----------6--6-|-1--1--4--4-----------6--6--| (this was not tabbed by me) Every note is played exactly the same way as the note I explained to you. *note that tabs are written upside down. This is what picking looks like because there is only 1 note played at one time ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- -------------------------------------- --------------------8----------------- --------0------7-------7------------7 -----------5---------------4---6----- *note that the "0" in the tab above means you play an open string. That's basically all it is, but here is an index of other things you would find regularly: / = slide up \ = slide down ~ = vibrato x = scratch h = hammer on There are more, but these are the ones you will normally encounter. Let me know if you have any more questions or if i failed at explaining something. Happy playing
